It is quite simply, fascism, unless we ignore the Left's favorite expert on fascism, Benito Mussolini.

The Labour Charter (Promulgated by the Grand Council ofr Fascism on April 21, 1927)—(published in the Gazzetta Ufficiale, April 3, 1927) [sic] (p. 133)
The Corporate State and its Organization (p. 133)
The corporate State considers that private enterprise in the sphere of production is the most effective and usefu [sic] [typo-should be: useful] instrument in the interest of the nation. In view of the fact that private organisation of production is a function of national concern, the organiser of the enterprise is responsible to the State for the direction given to production.
State intervention in economic production arises only when private initiative is lacking or insufficient, or when the political interests of the State are involved. This intervention may take the form of control, assistance or direct management. (pp. 135-136)
Benito Mussolini, 1935, Fascism: Doctrine and Institutions, Rome: 'Ardita' Publishers.

By the way, for all the "experts" on Mussolini that like to throw around the fascism is corporatism quote, it is unlikely he ever said it, it certainly doesn't appear in any of his writings, and, even if he did say it, he wasn't talking about modern corporations, he was referring to vertically syndicated corporatism based on the early guilds.

Yeah, kinda.

Is this something you are against?

Giving private corporations money to do things for the government?

Nice word mincing. Just because the "Final Solution" doesn't appear in any of Hitler's writings doesn't mean that it wasn't part of his political philosophy.

Said it..not said it..what does it matter?

Many of the private corporations that were receiving government funding during WWII in Italy and Germany are still around today.

Nonsense and not very original.

But, you're stuck with it. Doesn't it make more sense to learn the FACTS and then use them to your advantage?

Why is it that only libs are able to do that? While the rw's are running around screeching about the sky falling and telling one lie after another and LOSING money and coverage as a result of their stubbornly holding on to their ignorance, the rest of us are enjoying the benefits of ACA.

Grow up and take responsibility for yourself.

Or don't. Doesn't matter a whit to those of us who are using the new laws to our advantage.

I am against everything the government does, even the stuff I like, why do you keep asking?

Complete idiocy does not redeem your position, did you notice the Wiki article that actually explained corporatism and my point that, if he did say it, he wasn't talking about corporations?

The funny thing about this is how people like you keep talking about facts, and then ignore the facts I use to make my point.

I wasn't asking you to redeem my position.

None of us are "stuck" with anything as long as we're willing to fight to change it.

I don't think all liberals think this way. Many of them still care about individual rights and egalitarian government. They aren't necessarily looking to use government to get one over on the other guy. Speak for yourself.

Grow up and take responsibility for yourself.

You don't seem to have any real understanding of the concept of responsibility. What you're pushing is obedience. Responsibility is more than simply doing the bidding of your corporate masters.

Or, we could explore the actual topic. Obamacare isn't socialism. And it isn't capitalism. It's the worst of both. With a heavy dose of authoritarian corporatism thrown in for flavor.
