Obamacare enrollees must double to make budget projections work - WT

In the meantime, why did the Washington Times look at only - to use their own words - "a handful of state-run exchanges"? Why not all of them? Skewing the data much?

Because several of them have gone under.

And healthcare.gov has picked up the slack.

Meanwhile, some people still don't understand the difference between health care and health insurance. :cuckoo:

Correct.

Many people have health insurance that is way to expensive to use.

They have to understand the subsidy part of the picture to have a chance at anything reasonable.

True. That information has been available since before the implementation of the PPACA, and it's still available now. Twice I posted a link for Stephanie to a widget where you can plug in a hypothetical and find out how much your premium would be for the various tiers, but she's afraid it'll give her cooties.

Give me a minute and I can find it again...ah, here we go:

And of course, both healthcare.gov and the state exchanges (where they exist) can help.

Many people think that since Obamacare has been around for a while it is proof that the law works, but the fact is it will be several more years before its sustainability can be verified. One thing impossible to refute is the cost of healthcare insurance has soared for many Americans since it was enacted into law. Gone is the infamous promise Obama made on how the average family will save $2,500 a year on healthcare coverage, it has been supplanted by frustration about affordability.

What Washington may be underestimating is how many people drop coverage, regardless of the penalty because they simply cannot afford to buy what is being served, or worse for America quit their job and move onto the government roll. The article below titled, "Healthcare Is Still A Broken System" delves into why the system may still collapse under the weight of soaring cost.
