I know all about it. My doctor is on leave until after the election when he will notify his patients whether he intends to return to practice or not. I don't think he's waiting to make sure obama is reelected.

My doctor quit his medical group. Then he opened his own private office and is not seeing any medicare patients. He is highly sought after and will only see patients that pay cash. What this means to me is that in the future all the good competent doctors will only see wealthy patients and all the medical students who have C, D and F averages be the Obamacare doctors. When Obamacare takes hold all the goverment doctor offices will be staffed with lazy union workers and incompetent doctors and there won't be any malpractice lawsuits as part of Obamacare.

My gynocologist only takes cash. As a result she need have no secretary to prepare insurance reports or process insurance forms. No one follows up for payment either. She has reduced her fees to reflect the reduction in salary and benefits. Some doctors have gone to concierge. This means you pay the doctor every month and when you need to see the doctor there's no charge. No matter what it is, even surgery.

The government also sets the payment to the doctors. That's why not many doctors take medicare or medicaid now. The payment is very slow, and there isn't much there when the doctors get it.

We hear this all the time, but when I talk to people I know from Canada, they laugh and tell me how stupid we are for not having universal healthcare like they do, and these are mostly seniors who use the system on a regular basis. I'm sure you can find bad stories out of the Canadian system or any system; heck, you can find bad stories out of ours. I just think so many of you are hooked on this idea things are terrible everywhere else because it is what you have been told.

On top of this, I dated a woman in Scotland. She had nothing at all bad to say about the NHS other than she was glad they have it.

BOS. The reason for a shortage of doctors it the cost of becoming a doctor. The Radical Right has raised the cost of education and that cause the shortage or doctors and more doctors are being imported from countries that the cost is not as much and there are more doctors. IF we want more doctors we have to make it more affordable to become doctors. There were a shortage of doctors long before Obama took office. Plus many patient treated do not not have healthcare and do not pay and the doctor is left holding the bag with nothing in it. ObamaCare will assure doctors they will get paid. ObamaCare will eliminate high cost of mal practice insurance and the overhall expense and the doctors may be paid less but they will have less expense. You don't know what the fuck you are talking about.

It may seem like a shortage because more people will be in the healthcare system requiring more doctors, nurses, etc.

Think about why would they leave because of Obamacare? Greed. My primary doctors get $350 for 10 minutes of service on a routine office visit. A crime. That is the reason healthcare cost so much. Medicare just paid $26,000 for my power chair that cost china $2,000 to make. I could buy the same chair on line for $4,000. ObamaCare will get rid of fraud, waste and abuse. Medicare is in trouble because of doctors and private insurance providers.

Left wing radical doctors are not going anywhere, Where will they go? walmart? Threatening is not the same as leaving. They love private insurance companies because they pay them more and they can deliver less. Doctors don't want to give more services than absolutely necessary. 10 minutes and to save on that several patient are given the same time. Doctors are criminals under private healthcare system.
