Thanks to all those democrats in control of our government (especially Barney Frank & Chris Dodd) who acted in unison to take us from the 13,000 DOW, 3.5 GDP, and 4.6% unemployment to the American crisis we are now experiencing as they dumped 5-6 trillion dollars of toxic loans into our economy by promoting their Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac fiascoes.

Keep in mind that beginning in 2001 President Bush asked Congress on 17 separate occasions to stop Fannie and Freddie because it was financially risky for the US economy. Instead, Barney Frank blocked requests and called Bush's efforts "Chicken Little Philosophy". Now we know that the sky did indeed fall.

Here are some facts to Consider: Who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? Answer: OBAMA. And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie? Answer: OBAMA and the Democrat Congress, especially Barney Frank!!!!

So when someone tries to blame Bush, please remember January 3, 2007, the day that the Democrats took control of the federal government. Bush may have been in the car, but the Democrats were in charge of the gas pedal and the steering wheel as they drove the economy into the ditch.

Another fact to consider: I think that too many well-meaning Americans fail to understand that budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress. The political party that controlled the House of Representatives and the Senate since January 2007 is the Democrat Party; not George Bush and not the Republicans.

Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for 2008 & 2009 as well as 2010 & 2011. In that first year, 2008, they had to contend with President George Bush which caused them to compromise on spending when Bush, somewhat belatedly, got tough on spending increases.

For 2009, though, Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely by passing continuing resolutions to keep government running with their inflated spending budgets that they had already established until Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the 2009 budget.

Now, where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of the very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and then he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete the 2009 budget.

It is really important to remember what the deficits looked like during that period. If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That 2007 deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending. This includes Obama, who voted for the budgets.

In essence, if Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself. In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is that, "I inherited a deficit that I voted for, and then I voted to expand that budget deficit four-fold since January 20th, 2009.

Then another 2.4 trillion Republicans passed through reconciliation calling that fiasco the "Bush Tax Cuts". Forgot to mention that too. Uh, where are we? Oh, that's like 5 and a half trillion. None included on any budget.

Then there is another couple of trillion from the "votes for drugs" bill, again passed through reconciliation. Didn't see that mentioned either.

Now get this. More than 40 THOUSAND Americans have been wounded in Iraq. Many are now paraplegic or quadriplegic and that will add another trillion or three that Republicans will try to blame on Obama.
