Our bilateral relationship with Egypt, ally or not, is at least as important as our relationship with Israel. Noting that the President has met with Netanyahu on several occasions, but has never met the new Egyptian president, meeting with him makes a fair deal of sense. Even more so when you consider that there is really nothing for Netanyahu and Obama to discuss. Netanyahu will continue his push for war against Iran and extermination of the Palestinians with or without a meeting with Obama.
