The deficit for this year would surge to a record-breaking $1.56 trillion, topping last year's then unprecedented $1.41 trillion gap. The deficit would remain above $1 trillion in 2011 although the president proposed to institute a three-year budget freeze on a variety of programs outside of the military and homeland security as well as increasing taxes on energy producers and families making more than $250,000.

Obama will Freeze Spending, but NOT on the Military... That the "Change" you Liberals Voted for?...

:)

He's doing about as well as I expected him to do given what he's working with.

I was very disappointed with his HC plan, however.

He did, I think, completely ignore most of the people's wishes about that issue, who voted for him.

They wanted Single Payer Universal HC. He made noises like that was where he was headed.

Then when it came time to forge a policy, not a single Single Payer Universal HC insurance advocate was allowed in the room.

Yeah, he betrayed those players...without doubt.

Now I do not think Single Payer would work.

Of course the plan now is even worse than Single Payer.

I could not have designed a plan that better suited the needs of the private HC insurers than what is being proposed now.

Mandatory HC insurance?

Fines if you don't pay for insurance?

Who does that mostly benefit?

The INSURANCE companies, that's who.

Defecit was $1.2T when he took office. He has a ways to go before doubling it as the "fiscally conservative" Bush did...

This sounds like an IMF third world "social adjustment program."

Yeah you gave Bush years to fuck everything up and Obama is supposed to correct all the issues facing us including those that have been ignored for decades (healthcare) in his first year. All while saving the economy that Bush shoved into a trash can.
