Obama was right. We should be concentrating on jobs GOP says we can't make.

How many times has the GOP said government "can't make jobs".

Even when Republican members of congress were grubbing for stimulus money they voted against to upgrade trains, fix bridges, install high speed internet, pave roads and so on. I've posted numerous links showing over a hundred GOP congressmen and senators applying for and receiving money from said "stimulus".

Obama said we should be concentrating on "Jobs Jobs Jobs" (actually he said it only one time, as opposed to Republicans who collectively said it thousands of times just before the last election).

Only, the current crop of Republicans said they NEVER ran on "Jobs Jobs Jobs" because government "can't make jobs". Which is odd since so many received "stimulus" money.

So now, apparently, we may be able to concentrate on the next election.

Will Republicans, once again, run on "Jobs Jobs Jobs"? Will America believe it? Again? With corporations sitting on trillions, will America vote for leaders who want to give them even more GOP subsidies? With the wealthy holding the most money in American history, will America side with the GOP to give them even more tax breaks? Will America march side by side with the GOP leaders, hoping they move more of the tax burden to the middle class to keep taxes on the wealthy as low as possible? Will the elderly gratefully thank the GOP for the few thousand dollars they will be given to go look for an insurance policy they know will never be found in lieu of Medicare?

Will the GOP run on "Government can't make jobs" and win?

The next election will be interesting. No doubt it.

I thought the chosen one had this thing locked up....
You guys running scared now?

You are a liar if you want us to believe that Obama never said he was focused on jobs.....
He said countless times he was focused "like a laser"....

Yeah. The Govt does create jobs.

The only problem is that they are taxpayer funded jobs. More of a burden on the taxpayers of America.

Barry's policies have done nothing to create private sector jobs. His policies have hindered the recovery big time.

If business doesn't have a stable business environment then they will not hire or expand. They will sit on their money which is exactly what they are doing. I would too.

Libturds don't understand the distinction between a job and a paycheck. The government dispenses paychecks, but that doesn't mean the people who get them have something that can properly be labeled a "job." Getting paid to operate an automatic elevator isn't a job. It's welfare.

it isn't to the guy running the elevator......so tell me Bri.....if you were unemployed and could not find a job and needed to feed your family, and you had the opportunity to take a descent paying Govt job.....are saying you would not take it?.....you would just stay unemployed?....

so Bri?......i assume, since you did not answer.....you would take the Job....or pardon me....i mean the Welfare......

The job of government is service, which requires jobs. The service of business is profit, which requires sacrificing people for money. Both have their place and both have their problems. We outsourced part of our military service to Halliburton in Iraq, which cost far, far more than the jobs should have. So, yes, government does create jobs.

If the GOP in Congress, primarily the TeaPots, does not pull its collective head out of its asshole and work on jobs creation, the dems will smear us next year.

We should win both houses hands down, but the Tea Pots apparently don't want to. Why?

Who is this "we" you refer to? You're a fake Republican. Your only function in this forum is to undermine the Republican party.

There is an easy answer for joblessness in America - stop sending them to Sri Lanka, India and points East? Stop sending everything we manufacture to Taiwan and China. And stop rewarding corporations using cheap labor and materials to fill their coffers while emptying ours.

Oh, yeah. I'm just praying that the independents have a long enough memory to bring them back to this summer, the Party of No, and the economy almost being driven over a cliff while the [expletive-deleted] had fits. Can't wait.

Here's your party of NO ya fucking MORON... http://www.usmessageboard.com/politics/177886-look-whos-the-party-of-no-now.html

Wasn't that what the stimulus was for? To help create jobs?

Blow it out your ass deany obama has never wanted to concentrate on anything but programs that would place more people under the control of the government.

The government creates jobs when it war machine goes into another country and destroys it's infrastructure and we rebuild it on the tax payers money. The government does not create jobs here in America.

He should have focused on jobs A LONG Time ago. Instead he was more worried of shoving the healthcare bill down our throats and other of his pet projects. and NOW he wants to work on jobs. Sorry Mr Presidont your days are number to put someone here that is more compliant

My function in the party is to save it from the far extremist fascist right, from folks like you. We have done that here at home and in the surrounding area. We will keep doing. Reagan would kick your asses out the door if you talked then as you do now.

Your votes are wanted, not your fucked up philosophy.
