The only person who believes such a thing is ignorant, not being honest, or a partisan hack.

When making such an analysis one has nothing to go on but via past actions, associations, and affiliates. Obama is a positive liberty guy, which means, that he puts the artificial rights of the collective above the unaleinable rights of the individual, i.e. does not beleive in the priciple of self ownership.

Barack Obama once asked that we judge him by the people he surrounds himself with. I'm holding him to that standard. Avoiding the merits and falts of communism/socialism, Obama is still closer to a socialist than he ever will be a capitalist. Likewise he has associated and surrounded himself by socialist influences throughout his whole life. This cannot be contested.
