Obama vs. Bill O'Reilly

Love the way Obama is lying his ass off. Specifically, "If you like your doctor, you can keep him." Bullshit.

Well, not actually a lie...just not a whole truth. We may be able to keep our doctor...but it will be EXPENSIVE...and then there's the part about whether or not that doctor will still be in practice...

If you read the bill, it is not about keeping what we all have now. It is about getting as many people on the bill ,by being to expensive for everyone to keep what they have and then going over to it. The whole thing is about government control period and the bill does not address the high cost of health care at all.

Actually it does, by encouraging Higher cost of service. It first wants to gain control, then to apply the fixes it currently denies, rather than actually cover it's obligation. Look forward to long delays and denial of service.

Obama is doing pretty well. Answering the questions. Pissed me off that O'reilly called it Obamacare. The bill has a name, use it.

he didn't answer any of his questions...

Bill: If Obamacare doesn't make it through, what are you prepared to do?

Obama: I'll tell you what I'm NOT prepared to do...blah blah blah....

That's not an answer...that's a dodge. All be it a good one...it's still not an answer to the question. Of course, we all know that there was no way he would have been able to answer it without screwing himself to the wall.

And the bullshit answer about the Islam Brotherhood...wow...could he have been any more vague?!?!

Actually the president's answer was quite accurate.

Every other industrialized nation in the world has national health insurance, and they pay HALF per capita what we pay for healthcare. The French have the best system. It is a combination of public and private insurance. They don't have long delays, and they cover everyone.

Yes. and the French take over half of your paycheck in order to do it.

Not really.

The French use cost saving techniques that we should adopt. They limit liability, their medical schools are much cheapers than ours, so they have many more doctors per capita. More doctors equals cheaper prices for services. Bigger supply, cheaper prices...simple economics. They negotiate costs for the patients, so they don't pay the ridiculous drug prices we do. And they live longer than we do on average. Their system works well.

We could learn a lot by studing what works in other countries.

Yes because the name of the bill:

H. R. 3962
To provide affordable, quality health care for all Americans and reduce
the growth in health care spending, and for other purposes.

Just rolls off the tongue.

It's called Obamacare in the vernacular so get over it.

France is a socialist country. A great country - but socialist. And, more importantly.... we are NOT France.

Bill was a pussy. He hinted at controversy to satisfy his base.

Bill didn't have a lot of time and there is another interview on the Factor. I believe tonight.

O'Reilly had to be respectful! First, Obama is still our President. Second, he was doing the interview right before the game.

O'Reilly went right at him. Asked him about Egypt. Obamacare and the repeal. He questioned him about the Wall Street Journal Article.

Give it up to both of them I think they both did a good job.

HOWEVER, I didn't like the PCness answer around who he wanted to win the game. He should have said, "Look Bill, I'm a Bears fan, FUCK THE FUDGE PACKERS, Go Steelers!"

I'd like to see your research and sources for that claim.

You have never talked to someone who lives there have you? They are socialists and the government does take a little over half of their pay checks in order to pay for the social programs.

If National Heath Care was popular I think you wouldn't mind what it was called. But only because it's hugely unpopular and sucks, do you hate the derisive name ObamaCare. And we Conservatives LOVE the fact that you Liberals hate it!

ObamaCare!ObamaCare!ObamaCare!ObamaCare!ObamaCare!ObamaCare!
ObamaCare!ObamaCare!ObamaCare!ObamaCare!ObamaCare!ObamaCare!
ObamaCare!ObamaCare!ObamaCare!ObamaCare!ObamaCare!ObamaCare!
ObamaCare!ObamaCare!ObamaCare!ObamaCare!ObamaCare!ObamaCare!

I refused to watch it. I am an O`Reilly fan, but less and less as I see him become the populist that he has in order to sell books and go down in history as having two or more (?) audiences..lol, with "The One." I don't trust anybody that Obama trusts either. They are both in bed together. I have written Bill and told him this. Two guys selling out their base by seeking the same things: power, fame and control.

He was alway's a populist. ;) It's a Long Island thing.

:lol:Norfolk Cty. baby...you know it. Suffolks for the snobs...;)

He ask fluff questions at the end, he hit him with the hard questions first. I think Obama avoided the frost/nixon moment that I feared but he did good. More is suppose to be on the Factor monday. Geez I might actually have to watch Fox News.

don't do it, you might blow your circuits.

This may seem trivial to many of you and if so ... oh well.

Mr. Barack Obama is the President of the greatest country in the world. I don't give a rat's ass if it's Superbowl Sunday and you'd rather be eating the unhealthy food on the menu or tossing the football around on the lawn with J Lo and the kids instead of interviewing with Mr. Ratings. But I do believe that he ... BHO .. should have been wearing a damn tie! You Mr. President, are not one of us! You are not even close to being the 'average American male'. Look your part! Even if you are lying through your teeth and dodging questions.

If him not wearing a tie really bothered you: you need to get a life, or better yet find legit things to blast him about (they're there). Seriously.

I listened to Mike Savage for about 15 to 20 minutes tonight as a drove home.

He bashed O'Reilly for at least 3 segments straight on what a terrible job he did.

I couldn't stop laughing.

LOL!!!

That's sick!

Spending per person (most recent) by country

The World Health Organization's ranking of the world's health systems

We are #1 in per capita spending but 37th in WHO rankings

Other notable "horrible socialist countries" rank in per capita spending and rank of health care systems according to WHO:

France: 8th per capita spending; 1st in WHO rankings
Canada: 14th per capita spending; 30th in WHO rankings
Spain: 23rd per capita spending; 7th in WHO rankings

If you put it baseball terms.

France is the Yankees (spend alot but have the best)
Canada is the Detroit Tigers (Spend a good chunk but never good enough)
Spain is the Tampa Bay Rays or Minnesota Twins (spend very little yet very good teams(or healthcare))

The USA is like the Mets, spend a ton of money yet have the worst team (or healthcare system).

And per capita means "per head" meaning from the richest person to the poorest person, on average, we pay way more than every other country. The healthcare system needs to be change.
