Granted that Obama has been up in just about every poll since the conventions, and PEW was pretty accurate last election. But frigging wow. I expect Obama to win by 8, but didn't think it would break for him this early. It feels good to see him break 50%.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows Mitt Romney attracting support from 47% of voters nationwide, while President Obama earns 46% of the vote. Three percent (3%) prefer some other candidate, and four percent (4%) are undecided. See daily tracking history.

When “leaners” are included, the race is tied with both Obama and Romney at 48%. Leaners are those who are initially uncommitted to the two leading candidates but lean towards one of them when asked a follow-up question.

He's got Romney's mouth to thank for that.

The only people who think Romney said anything momentous are the extremist leftwads.

And it's freaking the press out. Another propaganda moment that didn't have quite the effect they'd planned...

Rasmussen is always the outlier. They don't seem to refine their likely voter algorithms until the last two weeks. Until then, they're a joke.

You really ought to try looking at all polls, and see who's been drinking the Cheeri-Aid.

2012 General Election: Romney vs. Obama

Oh, and "leaners" have been breaking for Obama for a few weeks now. Unless you think that Mitt can walk on water, he's going to need a ton of help, mostly to get him to STFU, and reinvent himself in 5 weeks.

They were the good old days. Now he's up one point in the latest Gallup poll and down one point in the latest Rasmussen poll.
