We all know that the GOP is willing to block any kind of jobs plan, in order to get Obama out of office. They ran in 2010 on jobs, jobs, jobs...but they are very quiet. They are unwilling to do anything to improve the economy. It is basically Party over Country...and you ultra-rights know it. They are throwing the unemployed under the bus, in order to win in 2012. :clap2:

Without Congressional backing Obama's ability to respond isn't very powerful.

I appluade his efforts, but I don't have much hope it can change much.

The democrats are really stopping the jobs plan. But let's not let truth get in the way of communist propaganda.

They are blocking his mass spending. If your right and I'm wrong I'm pretty sure the gop would lose in a landslide in 2012. I'm pretty sure your wrong tho.

Desperation is a bitch ain't it?

Huffington Post is the one that wrote the false headline to Cantor's comments, which were actually:

we are coming to Washington to rein in the deficit, to tear down barriers to job creation and to reform a government that has grown out of touch with the governed.

.....
We must unshackle and unleash the nation's job creators -- businesses of all sizes -- so they will once again innovate, invest, expand and thereby employ millions of people. We will encourage them and give them incentives, but mostly we will stop being a barrier to their growth.

It is clear that Obama has done nothing to help rein in the deficit or to reduce regulations, and he has threatened to veto any measure toward these ends.

We don't know any such thing.

Why is it with the dumber posters they assume (Ass out of you and me) that there can be no honest disagreement with their point of view? Can you get it through your head that the plan of spending money we don't have on unproductive jobs has been tried repeatedly here, in japan and a host of other places and is the source of the ridiculous leves of inflation that Brazil and Argentina were infamous for. That the plan is so objectively bad that even the democrats in congress ran away from it. that having failed miserably with Jobs Bill one doubling down on stupid will not work. Can you understand that people have honest differences of opinion on how to move things forward? Just because we think Obama is a clueless asshole is no reason to shoot ourselves in the foot if his administration comes up with a good plan. Which they have not.

The Obama bill will not work, it has not worked in the past. It is not animus at the idiot in charge that prevents its implementation but its existential stupidity. That even the democrats acknowledge by running away from it.

The House of Representatives has passed several bills. Reid declares them DOA when they get to the senate. If Obama cared about the economy, he and the dems would not have wasted his first two years ramming POS legislation through. Elections have consequences.

Good post.

The left is always ready to blame the GOP while completely ignoring the fact that the Dems ran from this thing like it was the plague.

His first stimulus was an unmitigated disaster yet he still thinks pouring good money after bad is going to have a different result.

Then you have Biden traveling around telling one and all that police, fire, teachers and any other public sector worker he can think of will be out of work if this bill isn't passed.

Of course he conveniently leaves out the fact that the money will run out.

What idiots.
