Once again, Obama intends to allow U.S law to be usurped by international laws. And manages to screw his base over in the process. :eusa_whistle:

WASHINGTON -- A critical document from President Barack Obama's free trade negotiations with eight Pacific nations was leaked online early Wednesday morning, revealing that the administration intends to bestow radical new political powers upon multinational corporations, contradicting prior promises.

The newly leaked document is one of the most controversial of the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade pact. It addresses a broad sweep of regulations governing international investment and reveals the Obama administration's advocacy for policies that environmental activists, financial reform advocates and labor unions have long rejected for eroding key protections currently in domestic laws.

1
Clicking on the leaked document reveals a 52 page document written by and for lawyers. Can someone point out the supposedly shocking parts of it?

2
Is HuffPost turning on Obama?

3
Just wait 'til we get a leaked document about Obama's plan to let treaties with foreign countries threaten our right to bear arms.

Obama is a goddamned Marxist!

that was the first thing I wondered hen I saw this is from HuffPo. I will read the doc before I comment on the story further.

first thought on looking at the 'leaked' document... no identifying marks. no signatures...no names, addresses, department identification... nothing. It may be real, but anyone could have made this, and 'leaked' it.

still reading

the hang up seems to be the tribunal, and claims it can skirt US law. However, the tribunal only deals with voluntary arbitration proceedings. If the parties involved do not mutually agree to go into arbitration, then they would simply take the other party to court under whatever jurisdiction is appropriate.

Sounds like a non-issue.
