Obama Told The Democrats..

Barry is going to need every dime. He's going to have to bombard the electorate with the message that he isn't a failure when it comes to handling the economy and unemployment to drown out the GOP message that he is. God help him if gas prices make the economy tank this summer. Even a billion dollar war chest won't save him if gas costs $5 a gallon.

No, but more voter fraud like the fraud we seen in 2006 and 2008 will.

When I started looking it up. I actually found that I was wrong. obama isn't sharing any funds with the DNC, which is putting other democrat elections in jeopardy.

Michelle Malkin » Obama to House/Senate Dems Regarding Campaign Funds: You’re On Your Own

According to Politico, Obama will have similar campaign moratoriums on his participation in fundraisers for, and appearances with, congressional Democrats. That may not be entirely unwelcome news for some.

This is really good news for senate and congressional elections as it will put broke democrats at a disadvantage to republican candidates.

obama needs to stick to his guns and don't give them a dime.
im not sure how Obama can control the DNC, but he can control OFA since that is his fundraising arm. im also skeptical about him actually being able to strong arm all the cash from the DNC.

honestly im not sure its a good plan of action, but maybe they know something we dont,

He shouldn't.. He should continue to piss off demoncrats like harry ried and nancy pelosi.. that's what i think..
how is a guy who raised money for his own election gonna piss of Reid and Pelosi by not sharing his campaign money with them?

you seem desperate to want to start an argument about this...

You are slightly wrong. obama didn't take money for his reelection, he emptied the DNC coffers which are supposed to pay for the election of all democrats. obama isn't the only democrat running for office.

I'm sure the democrats dont care if he took it anyways, they went all in for him on every bit of his agenda and now they know they are going to take another shellacking in November so their hopes are not high at being reelected anyways, that being said all they can do is get behind Obama and try to make sure the GOP does not have a filibuster proof house, senate and the white house. That would mean the repeal of the healthcare law and the rolling back of job killing regulations. They are more than willing to give the GOP the house and senate "because in November it is going to happen anyways and they know it" as long as they keep the white house to refuse the GOP their own agenda of rolling back everything they have done in the last 3-1/2 years.

He ain't sharing no damn campaign money with them, he's keeping it all to himself..

poor old democrats,, it's every man for hisself.. thesedays..

ouch!

why should he? its for his reelection.....

Because he shared our money with his cronies who contributed to his campaign.

Democrat Representative Carnahan Wind got $107 million stimulus & he contributed $67,000 to Obama's re-election campaign.

I guess everyone has to share with democrats, but they don't have to share with us.

hmmmmmm Tom Carnahan....

The Wind Capital Group has built five wind farms in the northwest part of Missouri, which power more than 100,000 homes. One of the company’s wind projects in northwest Missouri, just south of King City, qualified for a $107 million federal tax credit from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The company’s wind farms have had a nearly-$600 million impact on the Missouri economy.

how many jobs did that money create? a $600M economic impact for Missouri.......

$67,000 is 0.0006 % of $107M btw, which was a tax credit, not a loan or a grant....
i though when people get to keep their own money, the GOP cheer? his taxes were lowered, is that a win for the GOP?

Given the recent bad press the Repulicans have been getting, that doesn't seem like such a slam dunk anymore. They're losing women, Latinos, libertarians and others at such a rate that they'll be lucky to keep the House. Reid's job is rock-solid safe.

What? I thought Obama was all about spreading the wealth around. Oh, I get it. He meant everyone else excecpt him. That's how it works in socialism though. It's the old do as I say, not as i do.

Also, is the billion dollar campaign happening through grassroot support? Or could it be big banks and big cozy govt. business are pumping in the money. I mean, for all the wealth disparity talk adn spreading it around to the people, Obama sure does like that cozy corporatist agenda to keep his seat.

Obama supporters are really chasing their tail on this. Spread the wealth around, but leave the dictator to make the rules. What a brainless bunch.

Brainless? I reserve that for those who complain about the money, but won't support public financing of elections. It isn't about government control, but control by the people. We won't be listened to, if we're not paying the freight. Complain all you want about Obama, he's just playing by the rules. I reserve my scorn for those who've given up. :doubt:

Here we go, public campaign finance reform guy is here.

Dude, congress is never going to pass that into law. You can drone on about until the cows come home though. Why hasn't Obama pushed for such legislation? Where are the democrat bills pushing for that? Where is the public support? What's the hold up on this issue?

Obama Campaign Not Sharing the Money | Care2 Causes

According to Politico, despite requests from other Democratic politicians and groups, the campaign will be keeping their money to themselves. Requests from leaders of the House and Senate, as well as the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, are all likely to be denied.

The fear? That their campaign won’t have enough money to take on all of the conservative super PACs likely to come after them, and that there won’t be enough strength in Democratic PACs to take them on.

“The financial caution for the Obama team also reflects the growing power of super PACs, especially for Republicans,” Politico reports. “The groups — technically unaffiliated with any candidate yet already a huge factor in the GOP presidential contest — are prepared to dump tens of millions, possibly hundreds of millions, into the White House race. So far, Democrats, including Obama’s own super PAC allies, have been unable to match that flood of pro-Republican cash.”

A realistic assessment of what they are up against - joint appearances will be as beneficial as cash ...

Why are you asking others to do it? Why can't you understand that you're simply a stalking horse for the plutocrats? I guess the NAACP should have given up after a few years, eh? At least I have an answer. You have nothing.

Oh I get it, he only wants to spread the wealth with taxpayer money, not his (or what he thinks is his). Check.
so in your eyes taking from the middle class to give to the wealthy is ok, but taking from the wealthy to give to the middle class is now class warfare????

I've already given you an answer on this unicorn of a topic. just because you can't wrap your mind around it, doesn't make any less of an answer. No democrat, and no republican is goign to ever see this campaign finance reform through. it's also not a problem solver, it's just a "feel good" bunch of crap that wont change anything.

(this is the part where you tell me they will go to jail for breaching the reform law. :lmao: Sort of like how Obama is facing jail for breaking the WPA over Libya....:lmao:)
