whats funny is that you will go to jail for not paying health insurance, but will then be covered by the prison's system.

No one is going to go to prison. That is a penalty for people that purposely cheat on their taxes but the IRS doesn't throw people in jail for minor things like this. They'll simply get your employer to deduct it from your pay.

um...won't they be taking money from everyones paycheck in the first place to pay for all the people that can't afford it.....not to mention most employers have to provide health insurance now.....

the best part is any company with 5 or more employyes ytied to the construction industry (which is pretty much everyone) has to provide health insurance....all the illegals have fake ss numbers that work in the construction industry......presto most of the illegals will now have health insurance....because we can't ask for proof of citizenship just a ss number / card ......

Actually, if you hire someone you are required to get proof of citizenship from them.

And no, I don't think money will be taken from everyone's check...that is a different program that got taken out of the bill.

From a business standpoint why does it matter to your bottom line if you are covering legals or illegals health care?

The left has been saying all along that there are approx. 45 million uninsured....

They say the new healthcare legislation is supposed to cover approx. 30 million of them....

That leaves approx. 15,000,000 still uninsured...

In 4 years when the jailing rule kicks in....how is Obama & Co. going to stuff all those millions of uninsured into our jails....?

How will this be done and where will the fund$ come from?

there is no jailing rule kicking in.... but i bet their penalties will ad up, and i bet if they were going to get a tax refund it would be garnished and perhaps even wages are garnished for it?

I saw on TV yesterday that the fine will be 95 dollars up to 1 percent of wages. Big fucking deal. That's not going to entice healthy people to join and certainly won't apply to people paid under the table. (Which will be a huge black market in the near future I predict)

In NJ uninsured drivers with no money get their claims paid by the uninsured driver fund. They can also keep their license if they get a decent taxpayer funded public defender. Who needs to comply? Its us schmucks who do the right thing that get screwed.

Strange teh profits are listed in the source as $12.2 billion with $809 billion spent on health insurance. That is a profit margin of ~3% not 30.
3% is a perfectly legitimate profit margin - any smaller and they might lose money with a sudden shift.
