Ah yes, the Republicans want to tell us how they are going to make everything better, after they spent eight years making it all worse.

And what a wonderful crew they have to do it with. Bitchin' Bachman, the Alaska Loonk, the Deleware Dingbat, and Anger Angle. A regular coven.

Yes, the Democrats need to get out and state at every oppetunity what the real numbers are concerning the destruction of the middle class by the Republicans. How the wealth of this nation has been steadily accumulating at the top, while the middle class is sliding down into the class of the working poor. And the Republicans are doing everything in their power to accelerate that slide.

Couple things you might want to look into...

First it was 6 years of Bush and a Republican Congress. It's been 4 years of a Democrat congress and 2 years with a Democrat president.

Dems are really not far behind on "time" spent fucking shit up. I should also note that Bush and his Republican congress were "very liberal" on most things... Obama and the Dem congress have repealed NOTHING and only grew Government, Bush policies and new policies.

Just a lil insider info there to help you out...

Let’s think this through. The sub-prime market was but a small piece of the global economy. There ARE many factors at play. Sub-prime is only one of them. Congress may have encouraged sub-prime experimentation. Congress did not pass any piece of legislation, though, directing any bank or investment firm to abuse derivatives or credit default swaps. This problem is exponentially bigger than a trillion odd dollars in sub-prime mortgages that still have a true present and future cash value.

The Bush administration did in fact push this bubble up and up and up. Please open a new browser window, go to Google and put the words Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in the search window. Dig and dig, America. There is plenty of blame to go around, and much of it lands squarely on the Bush administration.

All this said, within the past three weeks John McCain said the economy is fundamentally sound. We now know without any doubt that John McCain’s understanding of the gravity of the situation could not have been more wrong. John McCain is not qualified to lead America at this time. Sit down, John. Take a deep breath. Then retire.

You need to understand that I'm not for any political party that screws things up as both have done.

But to counterpoint, Obama went to washington for Bush's bailout, and gave his blessing on that, remember?

By the way, when people start getting jobs again, and business actually picks up again, will most folks believe the recovery has started. No matter what anyone says, the proof is in the jobs.

Obama is no more a true socialist than any president before him. He's a company man through and through. His job as cheif puppet is to maintain the status quo and allow his so called supbordinates to secure central asia. That is hardly a socialist agenda.

So, it is time to put words into actions. While, I'm greatly disappointed with President Obama's adminstration, policies and abilities, I will try to focus more on those and less on the man.

That's very wise.

C-Span's Washington Journal this morning concentrated primarily on Obama's town hall meeting yesterday and the individual issues raised, which as I said, I thought covered nearly everything that needed to be openly discussed. Some caller made the point you did, but also said that although he didn't support certain programs, there is only so much a President can do and he couldn't understand why people constantly whined that he's not doing enough. Another caller made the point that everyone looks to Washington for the answers but what are the governors doing about stimulating their own economies?

Oh I think there is a great deal he could be supporting as answers to our problems. His ego, understanding of economics and the role of government won't allow him to consider or act on them. What we will get is a second round of stimulus that will also fail in the last two years of his Presidency. Then the left will simply blame Bush for puting Obama in that position for the next four year of some ineffective right leadership. Four years following that the economy will exit this part of the cycle and prosperity will return. Then some lucky President will be considered a genius for solving the economic riddle.

Stimulus kept us from a deep depression.

The economy is recovering. Remember, under Bush, we were losing 750,000 jobs a MONTH.

The Health Care bill is very good. I've posted many links to it. Republicans keep saying they hate it, but can't say why. What they hate is the black guy in the "WHITE" House.

What happened is all those six years of Republican policies finally "caught up". "NOW" is the result.​

There are no facts to support that statement. There is absolutely no way to tell (unless you have a crystal ball) what would have happened without the stimulus.

Point 2:
Under Bush unemployment was less than 5%. It is almost 10% under the community organizer.

Point 3:
58% of Americans oppose the HC bill. Can't be all Repubs

The second statement would mean that repubs were even with dems and could not control anything.....Ooops your bad

Your last point has some truth to it as the Repubs grew the govt greatly under Bush. However, Obama has only increased the size even more.
BTW in 2009 alone the deficit increased 16%. I believe Obama was in office then.

You might want to do a little fact checking before spreading partisan lies. If you want the truth, which I doubt, the majority of politicians on both sides of the aisle have only 1 desire....to gain more power.​
