Obama to his base, “guard my failed socialist revolution”…

The economy is recovering.

You are, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the biggest IDIOT on the board...

And here's your brain... moron...

These economists. I would guess they are the same ones who are surprised every quarter knew numbers are not as "good" as expected right? It explains a lot.

the warmongering babykillers (republicans) had their chance and drove the car in the ditch.

(RCP)- “I’m one of your middle class Americans. And quite frankly, I’m exhausted. Exhausted of defending you, defending your administration, defending the mantle of change that I voted for,” a woman told President Obama at a town hall.

Does she have any unpaid taxes? She does now.

:clap2::clap2:

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Barack Obama, seeking to fire up an important part of his support base ahead of November’s elections, told black leaders on Saturday he wanted their support to “guard the change” he was delivering.
“I need everybody here to go back to your neighborhoods, and your workplaces, to your churches, and barbershops, and beauty shops. Tell them we have more work to do. Tell them we can’t wait to organize. Tell them that the time for action is now,” he told the Congressional Black Caucus.
The words of America’s first black president showed a deliberate effort to recapture the enthusiasm that had helped him win the White House in 2008, after polls showed African- Americans much less likely to vote than whites this year.

And right wing fucks work overtime to ship American jobs to "CHINA!"

China, socialist/communist China. Yea. THAT China.

They want to give all money to their gawds, the "rich".

They squat on the American Middle Class.

And Obama is a "socialist" because HE wants to help the American Middle Class.

China grows stronger. We grow weaker. Republicans applaud.

No wonder they let Bin Laden go.

Tissue?

Ah yes, the Republicans want to tell us how they are going to make everything better, after they spent eight years making it all worse.

And what a wonderful crew they have to do it with. Bitchin' Bachman, the Alaska Loonk, the Deleware Dingbat, and Anger Angle. A regular coven.

Yes, the Democrats need to get out and state at every oppetunity what the real numbers are concerning the destruction of the middle class by the Republicans. How the wealth of this nation has been steadily accumulating at the top, while the middle class is sliding down into the class of the working poor. And the Republicans are doing everything in their power to accelerate that slide.

Pelosi, Reid, rdean and old rocks...and Republicans are the whack jobs?

You know, this has got to stop. No wonder we don't have any leaders we respect any more. The constant banter about all the perceived shortcomings. Going back decades for dirt or something you can twist into dirt. I am not suggesting we send criminals to office or ignore legitimate illegal acts in office. Our local races for Congress and Governor are totally focused on negative ads. That tells me both candidates are not worthy of office.

remember after the last election how you said the republican party was dead, roxie? remember you said that the democrats would be taking over the rest of the seats after this next election? Still making the same moronic prediction now?

So, it is time to put words into actions. While, I'm greatly disappointed with President Obama's adminstration, policies and abilities, I will try to focus more on those and less on the man.

"To the extent the Democrats address the Obama agenda at all, it is to distance themselves from it, heralding their votes against Pelosi, Reid, and Obama as badges of independence and honor. Nobody is out there saying the stimulus is working or that Obamacare is good or that the economy is recovering or that they wish we had cap and trade. The legislative program of the Obama Administration is an orphan while dissent has a thousand fathers."

Stimulus kept us from a deep depression.

The economy is recovering. Remember, under Bush, we were losing 750,000 jobs a MONTH.

The Health Care bill is very good. I've posted many links to it. Republicans keep saying they hate it, but can't say why. What they hate is the black guy in the "WHITE" House.

Republicans controlled both houses and the presidency for SIX LOOOOOONG YEARS.

During the last two years of Bush administration, the senate vote between republicans and democrats was 49 to 49.

What happened is all those six years of Republican policies finally "caught up". "NOW" is the result.

A lot of bullshit in this rant.

We cant say why. Because your side refuses to listen. Mandated coverage, ridiculous adminstravtive requirements for business for amounts of 600 dollars. Treating small construction contractors as if they are the size of a mega corporation. This is only a small portion of my opposition, so spare us your BS. I did like how you phrased opposition as racist, which directly goes to your character.

Couple things you might want to look into...

First it was 6 years of Bush and a Republican Congress. It's been 4 years of a Democrat congress and 2 years with a Democrat president.

Dems are really not far behind on "time" spent fucking shit up. I should also note that Bush and his Republican congress were "very liberal" on most things... Obama and the Dem congress have repealed NOTHING and only grew Government, Bush policies and new policies.

Just a lil insider info there to help you out...

Oh and Rdean, thank you for the comic relief... I look forward to many more post that I can’t make it more than half way through reading before I have to stop and move on due to laughing so hard.

Yeah I was just gonna post about that.

Anyone notice that it took less time for folks to get fed up with the dems? You could say it took more than 4 years for Bush, but less than 2 for Obama.

and this is from a rigged audience I suspect......just imagine if they had opened the doors to anyone....

I wouldn't open my audience to nutjobs like you either. That would be absurd.:cuckoo:

It's pretty obvious that some here didn't even listen/watch the entire program. If the selection of questioners was "rigged," then it was a damned good balance. I thought he did an excellent job (FINALLY!) of explaining in easily understood terms how each of his programs is intended to help a sagging economy. Will everything work? Only time will tell. But he answered straightforward questions with straightforward answers, even to the quasi hostile hedge fund broker who went to Harvard with him and who summed up the anger on Wall Street. To the black woman mentioned in this thread, I think he also responded rationally to her lament that she was tired of waiting for that "change" he promised. The answer, OF COURSE, is that even implementation took time; that the effect won't be felt immediately. And that's what NO ONE seems to *get*. It really isn't rocket science.

And oh, by the way, there was very little stuttering, which I realize must have been a huge disappointment to the local Obamabashers.

Do you even read the news? Latest claim is that the recession ended in June 2009. Stimulus had nothing to do with it and has failed to do anything except drive up the deficit.

You people see a headline and jump on it as the entire story. It's so frustrating. So those guys at the National Bureau of Economic Research have been all over the news programs today trying to EXPLAIN to people that their "report" simply detailed the technical results of the recessionary period, which is:

The economy started growing again in the July-to-September quarter of 2009, after a record four straight quarters of declines. (A "recession" is usually signaled by two straight quarters of declines.) However, the April-to-June quarter of 2009, marked the last quarter when the economy was shrinking. And it did not shrink any further, even though it has been slower than most recessions to recover.

Stimulus kept us from a deep depression.

So basically the Economy was already in recovery when we spent all that money, and as this shows it is now contracting again with each passing quarter

nicely done DC

Oh that's real current^...the last quarter in your graph is January 2010. In less than a month, we'll be in the last quarter of 2010.

If the dingbat fringers do get elected in November and change the landscape in Washington to fit their own fringe "changes," you can bet they will only have those two years to put on their resumes. They have nothing. You cannot run a country on platitudes alone.

We really found that out with this group of democrats, didn't we, Maggie.

Lets get them in and give them a chance....then if they don't produce, we will do the same as we did with republicans in 2006, dems in 2010. Fair enough?

That's very wise.

C-Span's Washington Journal this morning concentrated primarily on Obama's town hall meeting yesterday and the individual issues raised, which as I said, I thought covered nearly everything that needed to be openly discussed. Some caller made the point you did, but also said that although he didn't support certain programs, there is only so much a President can do and he couldn't understand why people constantly whined that he's not doing enough. Another caller made the point that everyone looks to Washington for the answers but what are the governors doing about stimulating their own economies?
