Obama to address his asshole energy polices

The problem with alternatives and renewables is that there aren't any. His plan to replace oil with algae is a theory now. You can't replace oil with a theory. His assurances that we will have algea fuel is 30 years or so isn't going to save his job in November.

Obama to address gas prices, pitch energy policy | Political Headlines | Comcast
President Barack Obama is confronting Americans' anxiety over rising gasoline prices by drawing attention to his energy policies and taking credit for rising oil and gas production, a greater mix of energy sources and decreased consumption.

Obama is heading to Florida on Thursday to promote an energy strategy that the administration says will reduce dependence on foreign oil in the long term. But Obama's pitch will also have a subtext: that the federal government can do little to halt the current rise in gasoline prices.

What guy , leading the sheep right off the cliff:cuckoo:

Well, dumb fuck, why are we exporting gasoline as the prices skyrocket? Still pushing for tax breaks for the poor heads of the energy corporations, aren't you. What sheep you are. Somebody is screwing you and saying, look over there, the President is doing it. And you don't even think to look behind you. Stupid beyond belief.:cuckoo:

Tell us again how Unemployment stimulates the economy and depreciation is now an "unfair tax write off"

Here's one for the scholars...

As in "what would you do"?

I'm currently negotiating the purchase of 4 (count 'em, four) barrels per day of of crude oil production.

Think about that- 4 barrels per day. Now put that in context. The U.S. consumes about 19 million barrels per day of oil.

Anyway- back to my story. This particular individual has, over the past 3 years, netted (of expenses of production) $300,000 on that 4 barrels per day.

So I call my banker. No problem loaning me $300-$500,000 as long as I assign them the income from this 4 barrels per day- until the loan is paid off.

Now put on your thinking caps... where's my risk?

Tap...tap...tap...*ding*. Time's up.

Where's the payout? What's the return? Why even do this in the first place?

If ANY of you think that oil and natural gas are natural gold mines, then why don't you go the fuck out there and find some for yourself? Or go buy into it?

You want to make some of these "obscene" profits? Be my guest. If you structure it right- it doesn't cost you anything on the front end.

But if you don't do your homework, it will end up your ruin.

Bottom line- you have no clue what the flying fuck it's about. Yet you go about happily paying $2.50 for a loaf of bread, $3.00 for a gallon of milk, and $1.00 for a plastic bottle of water that costs nothing to produce.

Bunch of goddamn know-it-all pussies.

So it really comes down to how much balls you got, not how much you think you know.
Risk-averse liberal stay at home armchair wishers.

By 'tax breaks" you meant depreciation, right?

Why are we exporting millions of metric tons of grains as the price of our groceries skyrockt?

Farmers reap tax breaks like no other industry. They even receive subsidies- payments for doing nothing. It's called "mailbox money". I learned this term from a farmer. They make no bones about it.

They get paid for not growing crops. They get paid when market prices are below their production costs. They get paid when the weather prevents them from growing their crops.

Give me a fucking break here. Oh- and if you must, call me Mr. dumb fuck. :D

Why are we exporting ethanol?

Think about that- EXPORTING ethanol.

Ethanol- a program instigated in the early 80's to...

a) Reduce imports of foreign oil
b) Improve air quality
c) Increase the price of domestic grains

Fast forward 30 years...

a) Crude imports have incresed
b) Air quality can not be quantitavely associated with the use of ethanol blends
c) The price of domestic grains has increased

Hmmm....

Big Ag strikes!

You have all been fucked up the ass.

To all of you who are fortunate enough to NOT be involved in the oil and natural gas business....

Count your blessings.

It's a risky business frought with heartbreak and failure. It's poverty to the extreme.
It's success to the exreme.

Riches, rags. There and back again.

It's not worth it.

Stay where you are, but by God don't you ever go passing judgement on people who risk their lives and livelyhoods for your sorry asses. I say fuck you for your condescending attitudes. Your ignorant presumptions about things of which you no nothing.

If you want something that you don't have- either go get it, or shut the fuck up.

You have no recourse to deny the true workers and risk takers their own rewards simply because of your own failures.

And you can never successfully shove your socialistic tendencies on me or my kin because we are capitalist Americans and proud of it. We've suffered for success at our own peril, but will never suffer your shortcomings no matter what.

READ ON-Obama the Job killer :cuckoo::cuckoo:
Ener1, an electric car battery company that the Obama administration awarded a $118 million stimulus grant to expand its operations, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Thursday after being unable to repay pressing debts. The news comes one year after Vice President Biden visited the company’s new battery plant in Indiana to highlight its progress with federal funds.

Beacon Power, a Massachusetts energy-storage firm, entered bankruptcy court proceedings in the fall, after having received taxpayer-guaranteed loans of $535 million and $43 million, respectively.

The Washington Times reports that bankrupt Fremont-based solar panel maker Solyndra hopes to give its executives thousands of dollars in bonuses.
Solyndra got a $500 million loan guarantee from the federal
government, the first such company to receive a loan under the stimulus
program to encourage green energy.Company lawyers recently requested half a million bucks in bonuses in bankruptcy court – as part of a “employee incentive plan.”

It’s fair to say the Obama regime is the most radical and punishing administration in US history.

And after two and a half years they continue to target the American people with their job-killing radical socialist agenda. This week the extremists in the Obama EPA pushed new rules on 26 states that will kill thousands of jobs, cost billions of dollars and increase electricity rates for every family.

NERA’s analysis projects that EPA’s Cross-State Air Pollution Rule and proposed Maximum Achievable Control Technology, coal combustion residuals, and cooling water intake requirements for power plants would, over the 2012-2020 period:

•Cost the power industry $21 billion per year;

•Cause an average loss of 183,000 jobs per year;

•Increase electricity costs by double digits in many regions of the U.S.;

•Cost consumers over $50 billion more for natural gas; and

•Reduce the disposable income of the average American family by $270 a year.

Obama’s blunder is ignoring the transition cost of eliminating about half of the country’s cheap and dependable source of electricity. Higher energy costs resulting from the shift from coal to Obama’s choice of electricity generation will drain the disposable income of consumers and, most important, be a huge barrier to the creation of new manufacturing jobs.

The EPA’s war against coal is already making electricity prices skyrocket. The compliance costs associated with the agency’s Cross State Air Pollution and Utility MACT rules are forcing coal-fired utilities to close and electricity prices to rise across the country.

Ohio-based utility First Energy, for example, recently announced it was going close six coal-fired power plants due to the costs associated with EPA regulations. The reduction in the supply of power is expected to almost double electricity prices.

U.S. House of Representatives investigations have revealed the failed green jobs initiative in President Obama’s ambitious environmental agenda. With an initial government cost of one-half billion dollars, evidence proves that only about 10% of sponsored trainees were placed in green jobs.
