Obama to focus hard on economy after Democratic loss - CNN.com

"The president works each and every day on making our economy stronger and putting us in a position to where we're creating jobs, businesses are hiring again," Gibbs said. "I can certainly assure the American people that that is the chief focus of the president of the United States."

Obama is such a moron. He doesn't get it.

Every single proposal he has involves massive taxes.

Businesses are already struggeling and going bankrupt.

What does he think is going to happen when he imposes new taxes, when businesses already can't pay their current bills?

The way Obama proposes the private sector create jobs is by creating "green" jobs. However, I have yet to see any proof that there is a real demand for them, other than what Obama and his minions want.

If he truely wants to create jobs, he should immediately enact across the board tax reductions. This is how you create jobs. You give people more of their own money to help create jobs.

Obama and crew just doesn't get it. The only "jobs" the Federal government can create are government jobs due to expanded big government. There is absolutely nothing the government can do to create jobs. What, they going to wave a magic wand or something and say "Let there be jobs?" It doesn't work that way. The public sector creates jobs - more specifically, small business creates the most jobs. Anything the government is willing to do to assist small business will help create jobs but the President and the government can't do that. All they can add is lip service and either blame the last administration for the lack of jobs or pat themselves on the back if new jobs happen to be created.

...

Obama is such a moron. He doesn't get it.

...

I'm amazed that the people who voted for him thought he would 'get it'. The guy has been a Community Organizer who has hung around radicals all his life. He knows nothing of business. How can he possibly know how jobs are created?

Amen.

For example, take a look at his cabinet appointments and ID those with private sector experience. The phrase that comes to mind is: the blind leading the blind.

The presidency of the United States is the worst place in the world for on the job training.

You've probably seen this chart. It's worth reposting:

Here's an interesting question.

Should any future proposed tax cut be 'deficit neutral'?

sick of Republicans who think it's still 1981 and that we can tax cut our way to growth, yet won't cut huge programs like defense and medicare, without realizing what this will do to future interest payments, and haven't learned from 1993 that raising the top rate 3 points won't kill the economy the way raising it 30 points would

sick of Democrats who think government has to be at the center of economic activity, and who think employment will magically increase while they attack employers

only solution is to keep government divided and hopefully achieve gridlock - that's the best way to minimize spending increases and leave taxes where they are until the budget is balanced again

Isn't this the sort of scenario we had under Bush , when we were losing an average of 770,000 jobs per month?:cuckoo:

Just checking.. Do you even have a clue how many jobs are related to the DOD? Do you have a clue what happens when you start axing the DOD budgets? Just how high do you want unemployment to reach?

So......don't cut government jobs because it might cause unemployment to go up? Sounds like Socialism to me?

Bush had historically low unemployment rates. It wasn't until Dems took control of Congress did unemployment go way up. But, lets just ignore that and pretend a sitting President has more power to effect the private sector than Congress.

Let's assume you are right. Doesn't that sort of deflate the title of this obviously partisan thread?

What was it that the Democratic lead Congress did to make all of those jobs disappear so quickly, by the way?

What was it that the Democratic lead Congress did to make all of those jobs disappear so quickly, by the way?

1) They didn't make permanent the Bush tax cuts, which meant that there were tax increases

2) Obama and the democrat congress has continuously promised massive new taxes and regulations on businesses. Because of this businesses are scared and should be, and have hunkered down for the Obama disaster.

You are missing the point. Businesses know that they will have to pay higher taxes. In fact, they know that they will have to pay massive new taxes under Obama.

Do you think therefore, they will make the finanical investment of hiring new people, if they don't know if they will have the money to pay their bills? Don't you think they will scale down so they they have the money for the Obama tax increases?

Businesses prepare for what they are going to absorb. If they feel that they are going to have to pay higher taxes, they will cut back. If they feel that they are going to have more money, they will spend more on investment, such as in hiring new people.

So, basically, your points are your opinion and GUESS at why this is happening. You have no fucking clue, do you? You have no facts. No data. No NOTHING to support your hyperpartisan bullshit talking points. What a fucking lying moron you are.
