Obama takes advantage of fallen soldiers return for Photo-Op to bolster image.

Check again, asshat.

I think Zona's avatar is funny. Don't like it? Tough fucking cookies. I don't conform myself to YOUR standards.

Your pretty red name does not mean shit in here boy. Quit deflection and address the issue. Or are you claiming the Obama did NOT do this for Publicity sake because he looks like an idiot delaying a decision on Afghanistan?

Fuck the issue. YOU want to find out do some fucking searching, Sarge.

I'm not going to treat this thread or this poster seriously.

Trying to black ball people I see. Thanks for admitting you do that.

You can believe whatever the fuck you want, fat man.

Yes, the usual antics of the left, when they can not answer a point being made, DEFLECT. Remind me how you all get all upset when a certain leftoid poster with a Nazi Uniform posts. HUMM?

Lets ignore the stupid name and focus on the POINT. Obama went to Dover for ONE REASON and one reason only. To get a pretty picture to help with his image as he vacillates on Afghanistan.

Or perhaps YOU can explain why he went NOW instead of earlier or later?

Ohh and HURRAH to the families that told him to take a flying leap on getting a picture taken with their dead loved one in a casket.

maybe he should have gotten on aircraft carrier with a big banner that said " Mission Accomplished".
Presidents do this stuff all the time, get over it.
:cuckoo:

I hate to say it but i have to agree. This was clearly a carefully calculated Photo-Op for this President. Using dead kids to gain politically really is the lowest of the low in my humble opinion. This President should actually be ashamed of himself for his Half-Hearted approach to helping our kids out over there. Our Commander in Chief really has let our kids down. Unfortunately this President has chosen to make this and many other issues all about himself. It's actually very sad. God Bless all of our kids serving.

and you guys would be bitching if he didn't visit dead soldier's family. Did you say Bush let the troops down? Probably not!
This is kind of like blaming Nixon for Vietnam, Obama has to clean up a mess that was seven years in the making. He has been President for ten months, do you really think that is enough time to solve anything over there?

If only Obama didn't have to take time constantly fighting the slanderous lies of the right.

George Bush didn't allow the caskets of fallen soldiers to be photographed because he, Cheney and the Republicans desperately wanted to keep as much of their fiasco as quiet as possible. One way was to secretly "sneak" into the country the bodies of fallen soldiers as far from the press as possible. Believe me, if they thought they could have dumped those soldiers bodies somewhere over the Atlantic to hide what they have done to America, they would have.

Obama asked the families of the fallen if they could be photographed because he wanted to show America the cost of these wars.

Republicans refuse to see the young lives cut short. They see "dithering". To Republicans, stopping the dithering is more important than these young soldiers. Of course, to the vast majority of Americans, what Obama and his administration is doing is formulating a strategy and careful planning, something that if Republicans had done in the first place, we wouldn't be in the mess we are in.

Bush never visited Dover once. He couldn't stomach what he had done.

BUSH TOOK AWAY THE CHOICE. That's right. Bush never allowed those families the choice. He simply took it away from them. That's what Republicans do. That's why many want to secede. They hate this country and what it stands for. They don't want choice. They want to "rule".

Obama asked each and every family because he is an American and he understands that America needs to see the cost of it's actions.

There used to be 1.2 to 1.4 million Christians living in Iraq. Now, the estimate is less than 400,000. Where are they? Where do they live now? Ask the Republicans. They enabled this to happen. They bear the responsibility. Instead of looking at all the terrible things they have done, the damage, they want more. Well, America is on to them. WE KNOW.

ALL of my retired military friends and family have said that Obama needed to be there. BEFORE you try talking FOR our military people, perhaps you should try talking TO them, first?

Sadly this President has made this and many other issues all about himself. This was clearly a cold and calculated Photo-Op. Obviously he felt he had something to gain politically by posing with our dead kids. It's actually pretty disgusting when you really think about it. Shame on him.

Have you said that about every president that has ever met with dead soldier's family? I doubt it.

Again for the idiots.

They bitch saying he let the soldiers down but when he goes to pay his respects to them they bitch about that also.

I see you are catching on to their little game of hypocrisy! Good show!:clap2:

Hopey Changey merely used our dead kids for political gain. How can the loyal Hopey Changeys not see this? Blaming Booooooooosh just isn't gonna cut it in my opinion. The White House statements after the Photo-Op clearly showed that they did use our dead kids for some sort of "political message." Check out their own quotes in the NY Times and various other Liberal Media Outlets if you don't believe me. That is just plain wrong and i don't care how the loyal Hopey Changeys try to spin it.

This was so disrespectful to the men who sacrificed their lives in combat for a President to use the moment to bolster his image because of negative reports of him neglecting the Afghanistan conflict and our soldiers needs. He and the White House are out of touch with the American people and are only concerned with their socialist agenda. Rush was right yesterday when he said Obama was using the dead soldiers return at Dover as a opportunity for a positive photo-op. He was turned down by all families except one who agreed to let him have his picture taken.

Transcript:
RUSH: No, I -- no, see, this is -- I know this is going to sound controversial, but I don't think he cares that -- if he -- Chris, if he cared about -- we've got soldiers and their families worrying about what we're going to do. The general on the ground said we need some more troops.

The policy that he implemented in March he now doesn't like and is trying to figure out how best to make everybody happy here politically on his side of the aisle and also for his image. Democrats have a tendency to be seen as weak on defense, so he's battling with that.

But again, if he cared about victory -- remember, he said about Afghanistan victory is not something he's comfortable with, the concept. It reminds him of the Japanese surrendering on the USS Missouri. It made him very uncomfortable.

He wants to manage this rather than achieve victory. He says these things. I don't know if people actually listen and have them register when he does.

WALLACE: But you say you don't know that he really cares. Do you at least give him credit for going to Dover, Delaware to honor the remains of soldiers, dead soldiers, who came back from Afghanistan?

RUSH: You know, see, the politically correct thing to say here would be, "Oh, yes, I am very impressed that President Obama decided to go show his concern for the remains, troops who've given their lives for freedom in this country."

It was a photo op. It was a photo op precisely because he's having big-time trouble on this whole Afghanistan dithering situation. He found one family that would allow photos to be taken. None of the others did.

And of course, when you have a sycophantic media following you around, able to promote and amplify whatever you want, then he can create the impression that he has all this great concern, but the -- Bush did this...
WALLACE: Well, no...

RUSH: ... but no cameras.

WALLACE: I don't know that he ever went to Dover, Delaware.

RUSH: No, he went to see the families.

WALLACE: Yes, he certainly went to see the families.

RUSH: But he didn't make photo ops out of it. The...

WALLACE: Well, but the argument would be that it was political of Bush not to be seen with the coffins because he was trying to hide it, hide the cost of war from the American people.

RUSH: Well, I have the benefit of knowing George Bush a little bit, and I -- I -- I've seen him cry talking about missions that he's ordered. I think he has a great, profound, deep respect for the families of all military personnel, and those who have died...

WALLACE: But I don't disagree with that...

RUSH: ... and I -- he's not going to use them.

WALLACE: But you don't think that Barack Obama has a profound respect for our soldiers and the families that are giving the sacrifice?

RUSH: Chris, throughout the Iraq war, it was Barack Obama and the Democrat Party which actively sought the defeat of the U.S. military. They convened hearings and accused General Petraeus of lying. They said the surge would not work.

Harry Reid stands up, waves the white flag -- this war is lost. Jack Murtha is out saying our Marines at Haditha are guilty of rape. John Kerry is accusing our Marines of committing terrorism acts by going into the homes of Iraqis at midnight in the dark terrorizing, looking for Al Qaida or whoever was there.

Yeah. I mean, look. I hate to be honest with you here, but I do question their commitment to national security. I question their commitment to the U.S. military. They'll put their political survival and their political power being gained over anything else. They'll use anybody and throw anybody away in order to achieve it.

You have a right to spout fascist anti american "slogans". I have the right to tell you to go fuck yourself traitor.

Well. It was cheaper than the Repugnicant party's hero, Dubya, turning an aircraft carrier around.....no simple task.... and landing in a fighter jet to declare " victory'....Or did we conveniently forget that ?:cuckoo:

This gets even worse when you dig a little deeper. This President's ego is so big that he actually openly admitted to using our dead kids to deliver some sort of "political message" to the American People. The White House statements were right there in the NY Times and various other Liberal Media Outlets for everyone to see. It was all about sending some kind of message about "Sacrifice" or something like that. They themselves admitted to using our dead kids for political gain. Do these people have any shame at all? So blaming BOOOOOOSH and Nixon really is a joke. This White House's arrogance and incompetence is getting worse by the day. How sad.
