Obama Still Campaigning During Crisis

So he's campaigning big deal. What's he supposed to do, sit and ring his hands or go wander the streets in Libya looking for the perps?

Wrong yet again, warships already near Libya, troops on the GROUND in Yemen. Your "news", CrapMax is always a day or so behind; all the hair restorer, male organ "enhancer", and tabloid right wing ads come before actual news.

They announced it. It doesn't mean the shores of Tripoli are being flooded with Jarheads with a snap of a finger.

It takes awhile to steam to these places. It takes 5 days just to go from the West Coast to Hawaii. A month to get to Guam from Hawaii. It took 6 months to organize and buildup when Iraq took over Kuwait during Desert Storm.

If anything maybe a Destroyer will arrive soon but that does nothing to help the situation. It's merely a show of force. They say they have Tomahawk Missiles, but figure the odds on them using them.

They said that 24 Marines were on the way there. What is a platoon of Marines going to do with no armor and no place to defend?

Answer: Fill more body-bags.

LAS VEGAS -- Speaking at a raucous campaign rally in Las Vegas, President Obama vowed to seek justice for those responsible for killing diplomats in an attack on a U.S. consulate in Libya and issued a stern warning to enemies of the United States.

“We want to send a message to all around the world who would do us harm. No act of violence will shake the resolve of the United States of America,” Obama said to a cheering crowd estimated at 8,000 people. “I want to assure you we will bring their killers to justice.”

Obama spoke hours after his administration confirmed the death of U.S. Ambassador to Libya J. Christopher Stevens and Foreign Service officer Sean Smith. The men were two of four killed after protesters attacked and set fire to the consulate in Benghazi. The mob was reportedly angered by an anti-Islamic film promo circulated on the Internet and made in the U.S.

Crisis? We had 3 people killed? Lordy more than that die daily in car crashes in the District of Coloumbia alone.

If we panic everytime terrorists do anything to us the terrorists are winning.

We had 4 killed earlier this week, 2 Friday, and 6 more yesterday. Info is a bit sketchy right now.

The body-count is mounting dip-shit.

Six troops die in weekend "insider" attacks in Afghanistan

KABUL | Sun Sep 16, 2012 7:13am EDT

(Reuters) - Four soldiers fighting with the NATO-led alliance were killed in another suspected "insider" attack in southern Afghanistan on Sunday, the coalition said, bringing the total number of deaths this weekend caused by Afghans turning on their allies to six.

Four NATO-led troops were found dead and two wounded when a nearby response team arrived at the scene from a nearby checkpoint, a spokesman for the coalition said.

One of the six members of the Afghan National Police (ANP) operating the observation post with six coalition troops was also found dead, while the other five had disappeared.

"The fighting had stopped by the time the responders arrived," said Major Adam Wojack, a spokesman for the NATO-led coalition.

Sunday's shooting took place in Zabol, a province where U.S. forces are based, according to a local official, who said all four soldiers killed were American.

The attack came a day after two British soldiers were shot dead by an Afghan policeman while returning from a patrol in southern Helmand province, one of the strongholds of the Taliban-led insurgency.

At least 51 foreign military personnel have been killed in "insider" attacks this year, deaths which have put a heavy strain on trust between the coalition and Afghanistan as they move towards handing security responsibility to Afghan forces by the end of 2014.

The rise in such attacks has led to the training of new recruits to the Afghan army and police being suspended.

And Barack Obama apologized for that? What a creepsickle

posted by Jackson ... the White House spent hours first apologizing then not, then appeasing the Muslims, then not, then declaring the weren't an ally the not declaring they weren't.......

At no time did Obama or anyone within his administration issue anything remotely resembling an apology. Someone working at the embassy sent out a (badly worded) apology before the attacks.

Please get your facts straight when posting.

Can anyone imagine the fallout from the press if a Republican President did this?

Democrats would say he was politicizing the deaths. That's why Bush forbade cameras when the dead came home. He didn't want to politicize the slain, Democrats are merely shamless.

FINALLY you say something that has a grain of truth. The very last thing the Bumbler in Chief Bush wanted was for us to know how many he was responsible for killing.

What a breath of fresh air President Obama has been, actually meeting and talking to the families of those killed AND then helping vets get jobs and homes.

pubpots can't be bothered with our dead OR our vets and their families. All they see is that they could soak them for money if they can push through a voucher system.

You might also remember that it was the R who voted against bullet proofing equipment.

It is indeed, the damn Rs who are (sic) "shamless".

New information reveals President Barack Obama conducted interviews with entertainment magazines and posed for a photo spread last Friday as American embassies burned and 21 countries erupted into anti-American protests.

Instead of spending precious time dealing with the developing crisis in the Mid East and with his foreign policy scheme in a total freefall, on Friday morning, September 14, Obama was giving an interview to the entertainment magazine People en Español and participating in a photo session with photographer Omar Cruz.

This interview was not on his public schedule and was hidden from the public.

Friday, September 14th was the same day that four flag-draped coffins of those killed at the U.S. Libyan embassy arrived at Andrews Air Force base.

The interview came to public attention when individuals who work for the magazine tweeted about their visit after the event was over.
