Obama spending binge never happened

Bullshit analogy. Letting the Bush debt financed tax cuts die, will add 3% to tax payed by the top 1%. They'll still have plenty for country club membership, personal chefs, and custom home entertainment systems.

Unless of course, you think it's a good idea to keep those tax cuts, and let us go further into the hole.

Here in lies the issue... you guys hate wealthy people.

What a moron you are. We've got a debt problem, and assholes like you think it's too much to ask our wealthiest people to pony up an additional 3%. You'd prefer to let everyone accumulate the debt.

Why do you hate working Americans so much?

Im sick of our leaders asking hard working Americans to "pony up" more money to pay for the idiotic spending practices of our so called leaders.

Lets see some ACTUAL spending cuts and maybe we can talk... issue is, if we make those cuts, we wont need higher taxes for anyone.

jealousy is ugly.

Nice reach around. The moron claimed that asking our wealthiest to pay their share at the level set by Clinton amounted to our society stealing their TVs and microwaves. You know that's a bullshit analogy, but decided to suck him off. It shows what a low-life you are.

Democrats motto is
"Increase taxes and spending."

Why would you want the wealthy to pay less of a share of the Federal income tax burden than they do now?

You obviously are too stupid to understand the analogy.

One guy is stealing from another to support his lifestyle... how on earth is that a good thing?

Our leaders are requiring we support their bad habits, and they want to steal from our wealthy neighbor to do it.

Im sorry, but I refuse to stand for it.

Obviously, you have no understanding of basic math. In 2001, Clinton's final budget, revenues were 20.5% of GDP. The last couple of years, revenues have been under 15% of GDP. That is a net loss in revenue of nearly 30%, and that loss in revenue of 30% accounts for over 65% of the yearly deficits. That is a revenue problem, and anyone that denies it is a moron, plain and simple. In the last 60 plus years, we have never run the federal government on 14% of GDP. This is the problem with cons; you can't figure out basic math.

So if a guy loses his job (revenue problem) but yet he continues to spend the same amount every month (spending problem).
He comes up with a scheme to go to his neighbors home and take the TV and microwave to supplement his lifestyle.
His neighbor is not going to take to kindly to his scheme to continue life as normal.

Oh, and dont dare complain... you will be called all sorts of nasty names.

First thing you have to learn junior? It isn't your money. You have some real audacity and you have bought into the class warfare schtick. YOU should be ashamed.

Here's the irony. The fact remains true that under Obama, we've had the lowest growth in Federal spending since the 1950s. Our problem remains that we had eight years of spending, like drunk sailors, under Bush.

What's really fucked up about the right, is Romney is selling himself at doing the same idiotic things, and the wingnuts are buying it.

OK, who signed the spending bill that financed a tax cut to the top 1%, and used debt to pay for it?

Letting the Bush tax cuts and the payroll tax cuts expire will effect everyone, not just the wealthy, but that is how it should be. What I find so humorous about all of this is that nobody wants to discuss reality, because they are all so caught up in their own personal ideologies that don't relate well to the real world.

The fact is that we have lost over 30% in federal revenues over the last ten years, some of this because of lower tax rates, but much of it due to the bad economy. The bad economy is also the biggest reason federal spending has increased. The problem is that lowering taxes is no longer a viable answer. We've done that, it hasn't helped that much. We can't continue cutting taxes to the point they hit zero, because we continue to cause bigger and bigger debt problems.

In the end, what everyone ignores is the cost of SS and Medicare. Those costs are going to continue to increase, and we need to have a real discussion, a realistic one, about how we will curb those increases and what we are truly willing to pay for and not pay for. Paul Ryan's Medicare proposal was a step in the right direction, in the fact that he proposed anything at all. That does not mean his proposal made any sense at all. I think it is a plan for disaster among our retirees, and ourselves down the road. But how much are we willing to pay to keep these programs solvent? And how do we make cuts to keep them solvent? Cuts will have to be made at some point; there is no way around it.

If we continue to argue about the stupid shit, and not recognize that we are not going to operate our government on 14 or 15 percent of GDP, we will continue to dig a bigger and bigger hole for ourselves. It's a funny thing; I look to Ronald Reagan and ask myself what would Ronnie do with our present situation. All I have to do is look at what he did in California when he was faced with a daunting deficit. He did what he had to do; he raised taxes. While he knew cuts had to be made, he also understood that the government still had to function and provide services. Because there was not enough revenue to provide those services, there was only one choice, and that was to raise taxes.

We are in the same situation with our federal government today. While we know some spending must be cut, we know there is no way we can legitimately cut anywhere close to enough to get our budget in line. We have to increase revenue, and that means we need to do what Ronald Reagan did when he was Governor of California; we need to raise taxes.

Wrong idiot, I got your point. Your analogy was bullshit. If anyone is stealing, its the top 1% who got their taxes cut, and financed it with debt on working Americans.

Wake me up when your nihilism becomes law, and we live in a complete predatory society governed by corporations with the profit motive, over the public interest.
