Its the same old same old progressive belief that "they" are the ones who get to decide what to do with "your" money, not even currently, but in the future, via deficit spending.

There are not enough rich people to close the current deficit, no matter how hard you try, without cuts to the current federal budget. To tax our way out of this you would HAVE to increase taxes on people making below 250k, no matter how hard you try.

People do not have to prove why the goverment shouldn't take additonal taxes from them, the goverment needs to prove why they need the additonal funds. Until the opposite stops being the case, we will never fix the current debt situation.

I dont believe for one second that Repubs hate granny and or children.

What I do believe is that Repub policies intentionally or unintentionally do not represent the interest of those two groups and/or their ideology trumps the interest of those two groups.

Take BP For Example: The CEO doesnt hate oceans or the environment. But a corporations bottom line is to make more money. If they make more money from going into someplace with almost no environmental laws that saves them money. The waste that is produced doesnt have to be handled in the same ways they do America.
