Anyone care to explain what the end of Obama's speech means ?
It means he wants the thumpers to support Dems.
thanks, dudette ! sorta what I thought
Another big negative, IMO, for Barak.
shhhhh it was sorta slipped in at the end there----I think it was supposed to be a subliminal thing. There's that little problem with church and state, you know.
Actually, since the convention was paid for with donations, I think he's allowed to push religion.
ahhh those technicalities
The next time you talk to him would you ask him exactly what that means ?
Well, his religiosity disturbs me (let's argue ethics not religion, in politics) but the phrase surely means that in his opinion people should vote out of a positive inclination (hope) rather than a negative inclination, (fear).
He certainly appeals to our better instincts, I'll give him that, and it's damn refreshing and one reason I think he is a refreshing change from the past 18 years or more on both sides.
HUH ? His biggest push is fear. We are reminded daily how we should fear four more years of Bush like policies. Liberals do the same thing here.
There's an awful lot of scripture out there--If you could find out which scripture it is that we are to hang on to, I might be able to tell what he meant by that.
Separate names with a comma.
