Obama Says He Deserves a Second Term; Let's Consider

I think his point is that things are on their way.

My 401k rebounded.

My home value is going up.

Manufacturing is up.

My taxes are down.

That's basically all I care about. The Government doesn't run my life.

All of which would have happened no matter who was president except for maybe the taxes.

Now, I'm just gonna say if they elect this clown again those that vote for him deserve what he's going to give them...........

Too bad the rest of us may have to suffer because one feels deserve and earn are synonymous. :cuckoo:

Smart folks that vote for this guy, just ask them. They truly believe they are smarter than the average Republican.

true..

But it has been 3 years...with or without "policy" from Wasnington, our need for goods and services would have triggered the economy anyway.

^ I dont care if it would or wouldn't have happened.

I agree with his foreign policy.
I'm cool as far as the slow recovery is going. I expected as much.

The other shit is political bickering and the Debt. The Debt - no President ever solves or even tries to solve the debt --> which leads me to believe that they know something that I don't because - quite frankly, if they've spent 30+ years continuously loaning us money and watching us go further under water, I sincerely doubt that our "Creditors" aren't in on whatever scheme keeps things/borrowing going.

To me, the debt is above any President's pay grade.

I agree.

I also think the term entitlements is a gross mischaracterization of our safety nets and their purpose.

yes..the term entitlement is inappropriate...they are entitlements to a small minority...and I am sure you can not deny that there is a small minority of people that feel they "deserve" their entitlements...even though they have done nothing to earn them.

Yea, a small minority. but I'm sorry to all of the stereotypes out there that I won't accept - I grew up in the ghetto and quite frankly have never met anyone on Welfare that was content with their financial or employment situation.

Sadly, I come across many people that feel that unemployment is an entitlement....and one they can capitalize on for personal gain.

As a recruiter, many people pass on job interviews...especially when they are new to the unemployment scene. They actually do the math for me and then turn downthe interview...and then ask me to confirm with their unemployment rep that they are actively seeking a job.
This is the typical dialogue...about 1 in 4...

"what is the salary?"

"x amount of dollars annually"

"but I get Y amount with unemployment PLUS I get Z amount in cash banging up sheetrock for my brother in laws contracting company, so why would I take X?"

"but your unemployment will run out"

"I have plenty of time before that happens....and by the way, please let my rep know I am actively seeking a job if she calls you"

No joke...it is very disillusioning...but happens more often than I would like to see.

No President has ever had the arrogance to say he deserves another term.

what an arrogant fuck the libs blindly support.

Yeah..it's not like any President or candidate for the office has ever said something like "God chose me to lead the nation.."

LMFAO...

I told my wife the exact same thing about the debt...

"if it were truly an issue, they would be doing somethiung about it"

My guess? They are going to wait for China to collapse and then wipe out the debt....

Yea, we went through this before and had a dense disagreement on the way we'd each handle that situation, and I told ya over and over that there's no way that I'd tell their Rep they're seeking a job if they are not. I'd face being sued, and that's fine.

Exactly.

And China isn't even our #1 Creditor, they're #2.

you'd think if they were somehow wishing for our peril by continuouslky letting us borrow money, they'd look into the fact that a fuck ton of that money goes towards keeping our Military Might shitting on theirs. I doubt they're that ignorant, so that's how I know that there's people behind the big Curtain on this one.

But in any case..of course you would.

Conservatives love Monarchies. And Monarchs generally claim they were chosen by god to lead.

SNIP:
David Limbaugh

Feb 07, 2012Sign-Up President Obama told NBC's Matt Lauer in an interview Sunday, "I deserve a second term." Well, let's see.

He had the courage to tell the Supreme Court off for daring to defy him in its campaign finance law ruling. And he did it during his State of the Union speech, when they weren't in a position to object, showing just what a marvelous tactician he is.

He was not about to be stymied by an obstructionist Republican House that didn't buy into his Euro-fashionable idea that we're all going to die from catastrophic man-made global warming. So when those knuckleheads wouldn't pass cap and trade, his Environmental Protection Agency lawlessly imposed its own emission standards. He showed those Republicans.

He was sick and tired of our being in Iraq, an action approved by a joint resolution of Congress, so he telegraphed a date certain to withdraw. But he wasn't going to let Republicans think he couldn't flex his own muscles in the nominal cause of freedom, so he one-upped those dolts again by intervening in Libya without consulting Congress at all, much less getting its approval.

When he crammed through Obamacare against the people's will, he adroitly claimed he was acting on our behalf. Every year he's been in office, his deficits have greatly exceeded $1 trillion, and he is on course to double the national debt in five years and triple it in 10. How many presidents could pull that off?

Will Romney go back into Iraq? Is that one of his election promises?

as I have told you....I would be spending thousands of dollars a week just answering to each claim...
Here in NYC, it is often treated as discrimination if you deny unemployument or if you rat out someone gaming the game....and you are guilty by default and forced to prove your innocence.
It is one of the major drawbacks of my business.
I wont even get into the story of a woman that forged my clients signature on timesheets and was paid by me thousands of dollars....
I lost the client, had her arrested, she copped a plea...I agreed with the deal...she never paid me what the deal said....and her parole officer had me written up for harrassing her..
Apparently, she was destitute....so I had to back off and I did...to find out that she was vacationing in the Bahamas a few weeks later...

There's so many creative ways to prove your innocense.

#1. Make them sign a contract stating that they agree to sign in, each and every time they check in for an interview.

#2. Keep your sign in log, dated, etc.

#3. Invest in a time & date stamped security camera.

Case blown out of the water, good bye.

you dont understand...

We keep (kept, Im done as I told you) EXCELLENT records...

However, we need to have an attorney present those records at a hearing...or even worse...in a court...

It is not an issue of not being able to prove our innocence..

It is an issue of the cost to do so.

Sure, I can counter sue the claimant for my legal costs.

You try that and see how long your company stays in business with a reputation of suing the unemployed and the destitute...

Trust me...I wanted to get those gamers...

My attorney suggested I keep my mouth shut

Bear in mind....NYC and NYS are blue states...

What I KNOW is happening, the politicians deny is happening.

Obama's reasoning for him deserving another term is that he didn't finish what he said he would do in his first term.

I find that funny.

It worked for Reagan in 1984.

it was funny then too.

What is it with you dimwitcraps and thinking that everyone who criticizes Obammy somehow is in love with Reagan?

I said it before and I'll say it again,

Reagan was just one in a long line of repugnantcans who managed to convince the flock that he was a small government guy when in reality he was a big government big spending hypocrite like any other politician.

Some of us out here realize that most of you think you must belong to one ovine flock or the other but others choose not to be sheep.

Maybe you should consider striking out on your own and thinking for yourself for once.

Nope.

Conservative governments include Monarchies, Oligarchies, Aristocracies, Theocracies, Dictatorships, and Totalitarian Regimes. A common thread among these sorts of governments is that the common man is taken out of the equation. Conservatives generally loath Democracy on any level. They believe the rich and powerful are ordained by a deity to rule.
