Military retirement is not an entitlement. It is earned, it is part of your agreement with the American people that you will faithfully serve for an excess of 20 years, and be prepared each day of that 20+ years to give up your life if called upon. But I don't expect a PFC to understand that.

Oh and just to piss you off a little more, I'm currently the Commander of my local American Legion Post. But then I don't expect you to understand that free service I do for the community either.

I don't know that a person that was in the military for 20 years and only made SFc earned a damned thing. I made E-4 in 6 months.
