How can one be required to work for something that the govt provides them as a free entitlement?

What?

Obama said it should be free for anyone willing to work for it. Who is going to work for something they're given for free?

Its not free hence the reason he said you have to work for it

Yet I've seen nothing related to the type of work to be done.

I know who proposes it. Knowing they piece of shit he is and how he thinks is enough to know that the "work" involved won't be for the ones forced to fund it. It will benefit him somehow.

How do you have to work for anything if the govt gives you two free years? Sit and smoke dope and in two years you've suffered no consequence for sloth.

The problem of community college is that even with loans, a 'student' can put off adulthood until he maximizes his loans, and then move to McDonald's or some other such job and the only real consequence is he won't be able to go to anymore school and will have bad credit.

Moreover, that reality dumbs down community college. If this was really about helping kids in community college, I could see sending federal aid to help community colleges implement a curriculum that was truly the same for kids getting two years in and then moving on to university.

But, all this is "spend more money for the children" from the community organizer.

This is just demonic what's being proposed here. The more sinister aspect of it nobody discusses, and that's that in order to produce, mature, independent thinking, rugged individualists, at some point during our young lives we should have to fight for something, and fight hard. Some people join the military and are put to the test by Boot Camp. Others start a business, others still go overseas on missions or Peace Corps work. College also is very trying because often only part of tuition is covered by parents or a scholarship and kids have to work part time while cramming in study time to make it. There's others who work their way through college, paying a high price for that degree.

A satanic, statist government seeks to deprive us of challenge, the inner thrust needed to overcome difficult obstacles. They do so because those who have never faced hardship in their life, who never had to struggle are more easily controlled, more accepting of government that does everything for them.
