Big government Obamanomics is even worse than we thought.

The US economic expansion is the worst on record since World War II.

The Wall Street Journal is not exactly a radical site favoring either side. So a claim like this would seem to have a factual basis. But, it doesn't take an “expert” to tell us how things are going. All we need to do is drive around our hometowns to see all the empty store fronts and For Lease signs.

The revisions were released concurrently with the government’s first estimate of second-quarter output.

Since the recession ended in June 2009, the economy has advanced at a 2.2% annual pace through the end of last year. That’s more than a half-percentage point worse than the next-weakest expansion of the past 70 years, the one from 2001 through 2007. While there have been highs and lows in individual quarters, overall the economy has failed to break out of its roughly 2% pattern for six years.

No question the economic recovery has been stifled

Republican insistence on austerity at a time we should be expanding will do that. We should be pumping money into the economy, building infrastructure, pushing energy development and R&D

We got the recovery Republicans wanted

We got the recovery Republicans wanted

It's stifled BECAUSE Obama got everything he wanted: Failed Stimulus, ObamaCare, etc

Republican insistence on austerity

$7.5 trillion in additional debt......that word doesn't mean what you think it means.

Just imagine what the recovery could have been if Republicans did not throw on the brakes

Insisting on government cutbacks and austerity spending at a time we are trying to stimulate economic recovery is lunacy. Wages are low, interest rates are low.......we could have invested in infrastructure, energy development, medical research

Instead we got government shutdowns and threats of default

Your delusional..Yes energy development, oil exploration, coal, natural gas ect...Obama's "energy development" is wind mills, solar, electric cars WTF? Infrastructure? where'd all the money go? :dunno:

Why do you blame Obama? I think Congress creates spending authority and authorizes programs and legislation. You're not THAT dumb, are you?

AND, if you were to acknowledge that Congressional action/inaction is responsible for a good chunk of our economic outcomes, would you then begin to identify what is good about our economy?

Because I believe you probably think in only partisan terms.

Drill baby drill is not the long term solution

We need to explore new energy sources ....that is where the future is

See you received your daily script from the DNC.

What austerity? We're spending more money year after year.

We should be pumping money into the economy, building infrastructure, pushing energy development and R&D

With what money? The $18 trillion we currently owe because people like you don't think we have to live within our means?

We got the recovery Republicans wanted

We got the recovery folks like you made sure we'd get. A nation increasingly less self sufficient and more dependent on government aid while the elite line their pockets even more.

Drill baby drill is not the long term solution

We need to explore new energy sources ....that is where the future is

We have plenty of oil for enough 100 years... Plenty of time to allow for development of new energy sources, not crony founded by the government. Step into reality, think for yourself ..i know it's hard for you. Real energy development will pump 100s of billions into our economy

Our supply side tax structure has led us down that path for thirty years.

Our supply side tax structure has led us down that path for thirty years.

totally stupid and totally liberal. We have the highest corporate tax in the world and depend more on our top 1% for tax revenue than any other country in the world.

This stupid liberal has no idea what supply-side means.
