He wanted to be a Lincoln, but it looks like he's nothing more than a clunker.

Barack Obama has become the nation's first post-racial failure...and we are all the stronger for it. After almost two years in office, he is living proof that America has managed to safely cross the racial divide. Failure is no longer the sole preserve of white presidents and Caucasian New York Times publishers. Obama has fashioned what Harvard historians would call a watershed in modern American history, right up there with the creation of MSNBC and the 1978 Star Wars Christmas television special, Happy Life Day. He has failed.

He's like a true freshman quarterback against a top-10 defense. He just doesn't have the experience to avoid looking like a true freshman. I don't know anyone who could have stopped the recession, it was a decade or two in the making. That said, he did just about everything wrong that could be done. He did his idealistic best when we needed pragmatism most. Now we need someone like Christie to fix the fiscal mess compounded by the dems reckless spending spree. $13-trillion and counting....with red ink as far as the eye can see. C'mon Tea Baggers...the Rs & Ds suck.

By what metrics is this failure being measured? He's been president less then 2 years..has a better approval rating then Reagan (at the same point in Reagan's presidency) has about the same unemployment numbers and didn't inherit nearly as bad an economy. Plus Reagan had no wars to deal with.

What reckless "Dem" spending spree?

Pssst.

And exactly what is being included in that spending? Is it realized the Obama administration moved the wars from "Supplemental emergency spending" or the voodoo budget Bush was floating for so many years.

The Stimulus package was 750 billion dollars...40% of which went to tax cuts. The health care package hasn't even come on line yet.

The "measure" is the nationa debt and projected standard of living. By any measure the dems are a disaster. A better analogy to Reagan would be Carter. We don't see the light at the end of the tunnel yet. IMHO we need a hard-nosed fiscal conservative. Easy money is what got us in this mess. Greenspan the bubble-maker sucked.

President Carter inherited STAGFLATION from Ford/Nixon, a post war economy, an energy crisis (still to be resolved - thanks Dick Cheney) and a hostige crisis.
I neg rep'd you, you earned it.

Greenspan was and is a Milton Friedman/Ayn Rand laissez-faire free market acolyte. Which is why he "sucked". He was dead set against regulation of any sort.

Why expand when you don't know what new tax and regulation is under the next rock?

How can you make a business plan when you don't know what your taxes and regulations will be?

I think both (regs/tax) are pretty clear..the "x" factor remains what other calamity awaits. But of no one starts investing..that big calamity will probably be close to what happened in Japan..for a decade or so. Very stagnant growth...and very little hiring.

And if that happens..yeah..Obama is a one termer.

You know that really big down year, 2009? FY2009 was Bush's last budget.

BTW, its hard to take anything from "American Thinker" seriously.

Nope. It includes all of Obama's emergency and other appropriations in 2009.

That chart is on a lot of sites.
Dishonest CON$ervoFascist sites!!!

That chart is typical of the dishonesty of all Bush economic numbers.
