Obama caught on an open-mic, revealing how he gave Repubs a smack-down over their attempt to kill health care reform. :clap2:

Obama Open-Mic Slip: President Reveals Details On Budget Deal Talks (AUDIO)

President Barack Obama was caught on an open mic making some blunt and intriguing remarks about the actions of Republicans in recent budget negotiations that produced a deal to avert a government shutdown at a fundraiser in Chicago on Thursday, CBS News reports.

In audio relayed by the network, the president can be heard addressing unsuccessful Republican maneuvering to roll back portions of health care reform, as well as restrict Planned Parenthood from receiving federal funding, in reaching an agreement.

"I said, 'You want to repeal health care?'" Obama revealed at the private event. "Go at it. We'll have that debate. You're not going to be able to do that by nickel-and-diming me in the budget. You think we're stupid?'"

Ultimately, the resolutions pushed by Republicans targeting what may be the president's most significant legislative accomplishment to date and the women's health service provider failed to advance with the larger budget deal.

"Put it in a separate bill," the president said he told House Speaker John Boehner and members of his staff. "We'll call it up. And if you think you can overturn my veto, try it. But don't try to sneak this through."

I hope the GOP was listening as well.

Up till now.... they are a bunch of pussies!
They need to put the smack down on Obama and stop getting up in front of Congress and crying like a baby.... I wont mention any names, but he likes pink ties :wink_2:

This just proves to me that there was no budget put forth for 2011, or one completed since 2009, by design.

When will the GOP wake the Hell up?

Obama Uncensored: President Caught on Open Mic at Fundraiser - Political Punch

"Eliminating the health care bill would cost us $1 trillion dollars," the president said. "It would add $1 trillion to the deficit. So when Paul Ryan says his priority is to make sure, he's just being America's accountant and trying to you know be responsible, this is the same guy that voted for two wars that were unpaid for, voted for the Bush tax cuts that were unpaid for, voted for the prescription drug bill that cost as much as my health care bill -- but wasn't paid for. So it's not on the level. And we’ve got to keep on you know, keep on shining a light on that.”

I have a prediction. Not only will Obama be re-elected in 2012, but the Democrats will take back the House, and add seats in the Senate. And all this due to Paul Ryan's push to end Medicare as we know it.

Based on the numbers, seniors who are 45 today would be looking at medical expenses of $3500 per month, out of their own pockets, for a married couple. This is on top of the amount the government would put towards their private policy. The average SS check would not cover this, let alone any other expenses. Basically, millions of seniors will be without medical coverage. The Republicans are opening up a can of worms that they are going to regret. Rather than trying to find sensible solutions, they want to push everything to the private sector where they know costs are going to skyrocket even more. Last of all, the insurance companies may not even want to participate. The amount they will need to charge in order to make any profit will be astronomical, and they know it.

I think middle America is finally going to wake up and get it, and the resulting backlash against Republicans is going to be severe. I could be wrong, but don't be surprised if we start seeing polls showing that over 75% of Americans are against this plan. All people really need do is look at the plan, and I don't see how anyone could be in favor of it. The plan does not save money. It only shifts the burden away from the federal government onto the individual at a much higher cost.

Good luck Republicans.

I love it.

When Obama doesn't say anything, he's a wimp.

When he does his job and campaigns for his issues, he's a bully.

We've come to yet another failure of Con logic - Obama can't be both a wimp and a bully, just like he can't be both a socialist bent on the destruction of America and "Bush III", or be both a Muslim and a member of Reverend Wright's church.

He said this when he thought there was no hot mic in the room.

Another one of his haughty and overbearing "bitter clingers" moments.

You see it as "haughty and overbearing"..

But then again, you would have found something to be pissed about no matter what he had said.

I see it differently - I see it as him doing his job.

Good job Barry....Keep revealing to us all what a small-minded, thuggish, puerile little manchild you are.

He's more grown up than some random old assed douchebag who comes on message-boards every day to get his fill of making smug comments.

LIFE. Got one?

Armchair QB's are always right.

I'm not pissed at all....I'm relieved that arrogant little tyrant turds like him are freely smoking themselves out for who they really are.

Well, then I guess you'll be pissed when you realize that this isn't gonna change anyone's mind. Obama's polling isn't going to go down because of this, if anything it will go up.
