Obama on vacation while fiscal cliff looms !!

well those poor, poor rich folks might have to pay more in taxes, why I am all aghast at the problems they face, while the rest of us get richer with less money.

the Housed has passed several budgets that Harry Reid and senate left for dead :doubt:dead on arrival !!

Yes, the House has passed several budget bills including such draconian cuts to social services that they KNEW beforehand the Senate wouldn't act on them.

Why did they do that? Because it appeases the base and allows simpleton's who don't know anything about the legislative process to say, "The House has passed several budgets that Harry Reid and the senate left for dead."

Let's face it, our politicians have been entitling the rich for way to long, and picking on the poor is the chic, why, we need to bottom out our earnings to allow those rich folks to hire more illegals for job growth.

yeah he really cares about the American economy ..... the facts are he does not !! on vacation while our economy is on the verge of tanking !! i'm sure the leftist will defend his need for 21 days off !!:doubt:

And, just where do you think the GOP House is right now? Toiling away in the Capitol building?

Well if the president cared and wanted this worked out he would have stayed and worked on it...the GOP could have been told they were also staying to get this worked out. But no, it's more important for him to take his vacation. What good would it have done for Congress to stay without the president being there too?

With who?

These are the same folks who used the debt ceiling as a political tool and got the country's credit rating lowered.

They are the same folks that do nothing but craft legislation designed to make abortion illegal, name every public bit of infrastructure after Ronald Reagan and squash many of their very own bills once consenus is reached.

This has been the "laziest" congress in history. Gridlock is now common place.

There's no one to talk too.

Hawaii sounds like a great alternative.

This gives you an idea of what I am talking about..

good for gridlock...we couldn't take any more crap like ObamaCare, 800billion wasted Stimulus, etc etc that our children and great children will now get to pay..but hey, that didn't have a damn thing to do with our credit rating being downgraded..stop blowing out the lame ole talking points dear. I'm glad the Dear Leader went on vacation that way we don't have to be preached at, told how horrible we are, constantly told how unfair of a country we are, etc etc by that horrible man for a few weeks at LEAST

How can you reasonably expect any difference from Republicans who burdened future US generations with the cost of two illegal invasions and occupations, not to mention Medicare Part D?

Both major parties serve 1% of Americans at the expense of the other 99%.

Stop "choosing" between Democrat OR Republican in the voting booth.
FLUSH a hundred (or more) Republicans AND Democrats from DC in a single news cycle and you will get all the Change you've ever Hoped for.

I ain't with that "both parties do it" meme.

Been alive long enough to know that isn't true.

Yes..both major parties cater to the "1%"...but the Democrats are trying to carve a little something for everyone else.

Republicans haven't the slightest interest in doing that.

Funny you guys say this stuff after Medicare part D, Department of Homeland Security, 2 full on wars, TARP, and a plethora of new expenditures that were never provisioned for by the Bush administration. In fact..they got rid of PAYGO to make it happen. Bush added some 4 trillion to the debt..that we know of..

Obama's programs have added about a trillion..and thus far..spending has remained flat.

So? Who's the real fiscal conservative of the two. Hint: It's the one who re-instituted PAYGO.

Your ignorance and blind partisanism are truly amazing.

As already correctly noted, there was no one with whom the president could ‘negotiate,’ House republicans having bolted for their home districts Thursday:

House Speaker John Boehner sent House members home Thursday, handing off responsibility for a fiscal cliff deal to President Obama.

Hope Dims for Fiscal Cliff Deal Before Christmas

The president left on Friday.

They've both outlived their usefulness to the Republic.

Well when voters start voting new folks in to office. Your analysis will be validated.

Until then..

Not so much.
Validation comes in many forms:

"In December 2008, 31.6 million Americans were on food stamps. Today, a new all-time record of 47.7 million Americans are on food stamps. That number has increased by more than 50 percent over the past four years, and yet the mainstream media still has the gall to insist that 'things are getting better'”.

IMHO, things won't get better until there's a wall between private wealth and government.
Republicans AND Democrats will become extinct before that happens.

The ball remains in Boehners court. Time and again Boehner has demonstrated two things: He is not a leader and he cares more about keeping his job than he does about what is good for the country.

And obama has shown for four years that he doesn't care about the country just his job, why else would he keep all those freebie programs going when the country cannot afford it?

Have a told ya lately what a dumbass wingnut you are?

'Cuz you are. :)

I hear the Hawaiian Islands are dissolving from within, and will likely soon fall into the ocean. Do you think we could possibly persuade BHO to take another Hawaiian vacation then?
when he gets back from his adopted home he will be more radical than ever !!

Anyone have the data comparing Bush II vacation leave time compared to Obama? I bet bottom dollar once those stats are shown the right wing hacks will be forced to hush up.

Oh well, its what the american people voted for.
Obama is powerful, rich and thanks the american voters for it. In the next 4 yrs he will be enjoying himself more and more while you struggle and suffer the consequences of the voters choice again. Just have to live with it somehow.

True.

Sometimes I really don't understand this place.

It's like logic doesn't even exist here for a great many.
