As I thought - while the mainstream liberal media is doing its best to downplay Obama's Special Olympic gaffe, the comments have infuriated enough to make those comments a legitimate issue heading into the weekend news cycle.

The appearance a as whole came off a bit...odd.

Also, did anyone know about Obama signing a half million dollar book deal just prior to taking the oath of office for President? I don't begrudge the guy making some cash, but you would have thought this would have been far more widely reported - a rather odd thing to do for someone just before being sworn in as President...

Your point is not without merit - but it appears we have a president who only puts up a show...and a poorly scripted one at that.

What the nation needs is a figure of substance - Obama has yet to reveal any such substance.

He signed off on a stimulus bill that he never read - and now reads from a teleprompter stating how outraged he is over a bonus protectio clause his White House and political party leadership inserted into said stimulus bill!

If we had a more honest and legitimate media, this story would be front page on every newspaper and news show for days upon days.

Sadly, it is simply festering a bit, but will likely be buried by next week.

The nay-sayers are still the same folks who didn't vote for him, would never vote for him and will never vote for him.

That would be almost 1/2 of the population. Not really a small number who disagree.

You know most presidential administration have a position called a point man to take care of this sort of deal. Guess what given his background point man is what Obama is best qualified for. He's got no Idea whats going on and why which gives him a great deal in common with the rest of the people in his party and he can't seem to find an honest Democrat so he's having to do everything himself right now.
