Obama needs to quit working with Republicans "behind the scenes"

I don't think it's the Republicans saying that as much as it is the rest of us. We're sick and tired of pretending the Democrats are any better.

They are better. Most are a lot better. They have to be. It's like Weiner and Vitter. One embarrasses himself and is drummed out of congress. The other breaks the law in two states and receives a "standing ovation" at his "return".

Clearly, there are two different sets of "standards".

If they were alike, why would Democrats fight for "health care"? Medicare? Education? Unions? Keep jobs here? and so on? Why do Democrats fight to protect the EPA while many, if not most Republicans, want to end it? While Republicans fight to transfer even more wealth from the middle class to the top 1%.

so demonBumRats who want to keep Boeing out of SC feel good about them moving to china? That's really keeping jobs here ain't it moron?

The Boeing plant opened in South Carolina. The jobs didn't go to China. Who even knows what you are talking about?

But get this. Republicans, including John McCain lobbied to move a 35 to 100 billion dollar Air Force contract to make tankers to, get this, EUROPE.

Hilarious.

Merci McCain: The Background

McCain Wrote The Law That Allows Defense Contracts To Be Awarded To Foreign Companies.

More hilarity. John McCain and the Republicans wanted to "outsource" part of our air force to foreign countries.

Labor unions only try to do what's best for their membership.

Republicans want to screw over America for a buck.

That much is crystal clear!

Obama needs to "go public".

For some reason, he is lost in this fantasy that the Republican leadership "cares about the middle class".

Stop already. They get the bulk of their money from a handful of billionaires.

Remember what Republican leaders where calling the unemployed just before the last election? Hobos and people that will spend their unemployment on drugs. Remember when they threatened to cut unemployment benefits if the Bush tax cuts weren't extended?

Republicans aren't holding back helping the Middle Class to stop Obama. They only have one real policy - cut taxes for the rich and for corporations. They don't offer jobs bills because they don't subscribe to those policies. Cut taxes is all they have.

Besides, we already know they are blocking anything the Democrats try to do.

People voted during the last election thinking that Democrats weren't cleaning up Republicans mess fast enough. They figured things couldn't get worse. Then look at what Republicans have done since that election. They've already told us their one policy.

That's the real "choice" for the next election. Billionaires or us.

Obama needs to put his policies "out in the open" and show the American people what Republicans are up to. Look at the unpopular "Ryan Plan" (now the Republican Plan). We need to get more of that "exposed".

blaming Democrats for demanding tax increases as part of a deal rather than accepting more than $1 trillion in cuts to health care for the elderly and other government programs.

wtf does this even mean?

When has Obama ever WORKED?

When you say, "Republicans don't care about the Middle Class", the Republicans say, "Well, neither do the Democrats".

Not a one says, "Republicans care about the Middle Class. That is why we have policies that.....". And then name a policy that helps the Middle Class. Just one.

They keep saying, "Tax breaks for the rich and corporations make jobs". Only they haven't been saying that with the same conviction. Why? Because not even they believe it any longer. It's all about getting rid of the black Muslim Socialist Marxist in the WHITE House. Who cares about "policy or jobs"? They don't even bother to mention the Middle Class.

Remember, it was Obama that extended the Bush tax cuts. He had to. Millions of American were going to lose their unemployment. They were being held "hostage" by Republicans. Is being held hostage of "sign of caring"?

The GOP does not take into consideration "class" or "race" or any other demographic.
They govern based on what they deem is best for the country as a whole.
You know...sort of the way our government was designed by the founders?

If that were true, I'd vote Republican. Today's GOP is the same as the Dems when it comes to this whole 'class' bullshit. We were created to be a classless society.... and our politicians - both sides - use 'class' to divide us. And, it works. Because far too many of us need to blame others for our own failiings. We need to point the finger.... whether it is the right blaming the left or the left blaming the right. In fact, we are responsible for this clusterfuck.... and it's about time we all stopped whining and finger pointing and got on with the job of fixing the fucking country.

Wow, the Democrats and Republicans sure have you fooled don't they? Where did you get the idea that they're on different teams?

Well that was an eye-opener statement--:cuckoo:- Just curious--are you another one of those "intellectuals?"
Bush: 500 billion deficit, 2 wars.
Obama: 1.4 Trillion deficit, 5 wars.

What makes you think they're on different teams? Oh, the little "D" and "R" thing right? Some people enjoy being fooled, I don't.

Obama needs to pull his head out of his ass and show some leadership. I know, I know, he never has before and he doesn't really know how.......but it is what he was elected to do. Sometimes you have to jump in with both feet and start swimming instead of sitting on the side of the pool and watching the big kids.

McCain Wrote The Law That Allows Defense Contracts To Be Awarded To Foreign Companies. In 2004, McCain proposed and voted for an amendment to allow the Secretary of Defense to waive the application of any domestic source requirements with respect to items that are grown, reprocessed, reused, produced or manufactured in seven foreign countries that have a "declaration of principles" with the United States. The amendment passed 54-46. [S 2400, Vote #135, 6/22/04]

These facts?

I am probably not gonna prove to be anyone's favorite poster here but I'm still gonna procede...

When I hear Obama speak, granted, i haven't heard every address, but I hear a man who guards his words and methods more than any other president has that I have been a witness to.

He is not lacking in leadership. He represents a different type of way than what the previous presidents did, but one that they had every bit of a hand in developing.

There was one speach he gave specifically that people were bashing him completely about and it amazed me because of how 'deaf' people in general seem to be. Perhaps there is such an illusionary vision given to some of us thatkeeps us from being understood by 'others'.

Regardless... What I see is that the majority of average Americans buy, buy, buy and spend, spend, spend... not their paychecks and not their family's net earnings but ridiculous costs and amounts that seem to even exceed that of what they are raising their children to accomplish as earnings. HOW can anyone expect a government to save and secure the massive deficit when we as individuals make it clear that 'we' don't care to limit ourselves, our spending in the ways that would best accommodate any potential solution. :(

If the "majority" of "average" Americans were "buy, buy, buy and spend, spend, spend..." our economy wouldn't be in the dumps. The reason no one is "buy, buy, buying" is because many Americans have no "jobs, jobs, jobs". From 2001 to 2008, Republicans worked to move them to China, China, China and they are block, block, blocking the effort to bring them back here, here, here.

Iraq is the war Republicans lied the American people into.

Afghanistan is the place where Republicans let Bin Laden go.

Pakistan is the place brave American troops snuck into to get Bin Laden, after Republicans let him go. Americans will go after terrorists who killed thousands of Americans. I mean, "Democrats" will go after terrorists who killed thousands of Americans.

How many troops are in Yemen?

How many troops are in Libya?

One of your most dumb posts ever. You hate Obama that much? That you would make yourself look so stupid? He's proven to be very "middle of the road". What is it about him that you "hate" with such intensity. I'm sure it's not race.

Hmmm Perhaps we don't wanna make any mis-preconceived notions too obvious then. Perhaps collectively we should shut our mouths and watch what unfolds.

Iraq is the war Obama continued Bush's policy in, and has publicly said he expects to keep troops there indefinitely.

Afghanistan is the place that Obama used a surge he insisted failed in Iraq.

Pakistan is the country Obama said he would attack when he was running for president. He kept his word.

I have no idea how many troops are in Yemen or Libya, Obama refuses to let anyone know. Does that fact that Obama is keeping it secret mean you can claim it is not a war?

If this is one of my dumbest post I must be exceptionally intelligent.

your an asshole Dean.....so i suppose everyone involved in getting OBL was a Democrat?......including the SEAL Team?......and your a Veteran?.....your a disgrace not only to the Military but to America as well.....

Was it 7 or 9 days before Obama broke his promise of Sunlight before Singing? However, this doesn't stop progressive liberals from blaming the Republicans for one of the most opaque governments in U.S. history.

This is why progressive liberalism is a lie.
