S&P explicitly cites the use of the threat of default as leverage for policy ends as a sign that American governance is becoming dangerously unstable and unpredictable. But folks, Mitch McConnell has repeatedly said that use of default this way is a good thing. McConnell said this:
I think some of our members may have thought the default issue was a hostage you might take a chance at shooting. Most of us didnt think that. What we did learn is this -- its a hostage thats worth ransoming. And it focuses the Congress on something that must be done.
McConnell also said this is something that should happen again in the future:

Government jobs don't count. EVERY government job is paid for by non-government jobs. The ONLY WAY for the government to create non-government jobs is to cut taxes and reduce regulations on business, and that's not in obamas nature. The president that appointed a "Regulatory Czar" (Cass Sunstine sp?) is more likely to add more regulation on business and increase taxes on business. Remember according to obama ALL wealthy businessmen are evil and make too much money and instead of making more money, and in doing so create more jobs, they need to make less. That will help the situation. Fools have taken over the government. It's funny, everything RON PAUL has been warning us about, and trying to change for the last 10yrs, is coming to pass. Too bad so many can't see his wisdom and brilliance.
