Obama - look what following Republican Policy has done

Putting billions in tax breaks into your Stimulus just to get Filibuster Party support was bad.

Caving in to tax breaks for billionaires just to save unemployment for millions of struggling Americans was even worse.

Then you went and agreed to a Republican deal on the debt ceiling just to save the world economy, Medicare, Pell Grants for students and help for disabled Americans.

And see what you got? Republicans blaming you for following their policies of tax breaks for the wealthy and tax cuts on programs that help the majority of Americans.

You knew this was going to happen when Republicans said "Let the car companies fail" and "we want the president to fail" and "our only goal is to bring down this president". They have followed their promises perfectly.

They even tried to take credit for getting Bin Laden.

You need to get out of Washington and present your case to the American people. Do what 80% of Americans want. Do that and the rest will come. There is a nation to "rebuild". We have spent the last 12 years tearing down what Democrats have built up. Following Republican policies is the road to ruin. No one on this board can even name a single Republican Policy that has done anything in the last 12 years that's actually helped America (except for the rich). Remember, it took a Democratic president to get a single terrorist. They couldn't even do that one thing.

Only three repubs voted for the criminal stimulus. MAYBE THEY SHOULD HAVE EXPORTED MORE GUNS. Now we find out they even cut a deal on trafficking DRUGS.

The Chicago Mob!!!!! Al Capone would be proud of you guys.

Putting billions in tax breaks into your Stimulus just to get Filibuster Party support was bad.

He put billions in tax breaks into the stimulus because everyone but you knows that tax breaks that put more money into the pockets of the middle class and the working poor is the best way to stimulate the economy.

Caving in to tax breaks for billionaires just to save unemployment for millions of struggling Americans was even worse.

The Republicans wanted to pay for the extension, not just borrow more money. Obama threw them the tax breaks to get them to back down on the demand for cuts in other programs to extend unemployment.

Then you went and agreed to a Republican deal on the debt ceiling just to save the world economy, Medicare, Pell Grants for students and help for disabled Americans.

He gave in on that deal because he insisted that the 2 August date was set in stone, even though it wasn't. If he had suddenly announced that he was lying all along even you would have noticed.

And see what you got? Republicans blaming you for following their policies of tax breaks for the wealthy and tax cuts on programs that help the majority of Americans.

Republicans are blaming him for doing what they demanded? I have not seen that, but even if it is true, how does that make the Republicans wrong?

You knew this was going to happen when Republicans said "Let the car companies fail" and "we want the president to fail" and "our only goal is to bring down this president". They have followed their promises perfectly.

Kinda of like the Democrats when Reagan was president? Or did you conveniently forget that they refused to raise the debt ceiling? Why don't you dig out a history book and look up what he did when the bills came due and there was not enough money to pay them.

They even tried to take credit for getting Bin Laden.

The Republican Party tried to say they were the ones that shot bin Laden?

You need to get out of Washington and present your case to the American people. Do what 80% of Americans want. Do that and the rest will come. There is a nation to "rebuild". Remember, it took a Democratic president to get a single terrorist. They couldn't even do that one thing.

I hate to point out the obvious here, but 80% of Americans want a balanced budget, reduced spending, and low taxes. If he could actually do that I would vote for him. since it is actually impossible, I will just have to vote for whoever comes closest to what I actually want.

As for successful Republican policies, what about the medicare prescription drug thingy. Technically, that is a Bush policy, not a Republican one, but it actually did what it set out to do, and ended up coming in under the projected cost.

You gotta look at this. It's hilarious that someone would single out one member of congress. Take a look at ALL of them:

Out of the top 25 richest members of the house, only 5 are Democrats.

Actually, if you expand the data, a lot of Democrats don't really start showing up until about halfway down. I know we had an election since then, but that data isn't available, but considering how are the Republicans work for the wealthy, I suspect it's worse.

Why does the Republican base work so hard for the super rich? They don't get anything out of it, that's obvious.

Now we know what is wrong with rdean, he cannot handle simple math.

Oh so it's still all the Republican's fault? Even though you guys just a Super Majority and still control the Senate & White House? Yea only the most lost & loyal Hopey Changey followers are buying that. See ya in 2012 i guess.

Oh, I love the R's. Mad R Love, here.

He says JOBS!! We NEED JOBS!! And the R's agree, of course.

No, wait.

In the weekly Republican address, Representative Michael Grimm of New York said

Friday's jobs report shows Obama's policies are not working. Grimm said the debt limit deal takes a step in the right direction, but is far from perfect. He said the cuts and reforms do not go nearly far enough.

Obama, Republicans Battle Over Jobs | News | English

Screw working together. Obama has had his "kumbaya" moment and Republicans have made it crystal clear their only priority is that he fails, no matter what it costs the nation.

Obama needs to go to the 80% of the American public that want jobs to be the priority and get them on his side against Republicans who want to cut everything from education to helping the disabled to medicare and even benefits for veterans. Republicans want corporations to make jobs - in China.

Where are Republicans on this board even saying jobs needs to be a priority?

I have lost count of how many times he has said he is going to make jobs his main focus/priority. How has that worked out so far.

Wait, I remember now.

You know anything about socialism/communism?

Yes. And I know we are a far cry from either. Look at England is you want to see socialism in action.

Did you read Obama Sr essay "Problems With Our Socialism?" did you read Obamas book "Dreams from my father?"

So Obama writes a fucking book bashing the capitalist model and colonialism while praising his authoritarian communist father??

Of course you can take a look at the "communist goals" in the United states...

The Communist Takeover Of America - 45 Declared Goals

Jeff Rense? Are you fucking shitting me? At least I am now caught up in the newest information on the Reptilian People among us.

The communist goals mimic the progressive movement..

So yes, this economy was absolutely manufactured.

You are entitled to your opinion, as absurd as it is.

Political Animal - A timeline of events

2009: Barack Obama inherits $1.3 trillion deficit from Bush; Republicans immediately condemn Obama’s fiscal irresponsibility.

2009: Congressional Democrats unveil several domestic policy initiatives — including health care reform, cap and trade, DREAM Act — which would lower the deficit. GOP opposes all of them, while continuing to push for deficit reduction.

September 2010: In Obama’s first fiscal year, the deficit shrinks by $122 billion. Republicans again condemn Obama’s fiscal irresponsibility.

October 2010: S&P endorses the nation’s AAA rating with a stable outlook, saying the United States looks to be in solid fiscal shape for the foreseeable future.

November 2010: Republicans win a U.S. House majority, citing the need for fiscal responsibility.

December 2010: Congressional Republicans demand extension of Bush tax cuts, relying entirely on deficit financing. GOP continues to accuse Obama of fiscal irresponsibility.

March 2011: Congressional Republicans declare intention to hold full faith and credit of the United States hostage — a move without precedent in American history — until massive debt-reduction plan is approved.

July 2011: Obama offers Republicans a $4 trillion debt-reduction deal. GOP refuses, pushes debt-ceiling standoff until the last possible day, rattling international markets.

August 2011: S&P downgrades U.S. debt, citing GOP refusal to consider new revenues. Republicans rejoice and blame Obama for fiscal irresponsibility.

There have been several instances since the mid 1990s in which I genuinely believed Republican politics couldn’t possibly get more blisteringly ridiculous. I was wrong; they just keep getting worse.

4 trillion over 10 years is laughable. Our goals should be more lofty, such as clearing out 14 T in 5 years.

BDBoop, did you all just forget to mention the Stimulus, the Auto Bailout and ObamaCare as contributors to these deficits, or were you only grasping at "blaming the guys not in charge" bullet points.

Hey, Harry Truman used to have a sign that said, "The Buck Stops Here!" Maybe we need to find this for Hussein and put it on his desk.

Not to mention

Standard and Poors versus Mitch McConnell - The Plum Line - The Washington Post

S&P explicitly cites the use of the threat of default as leverage for policy ends as a sign that American governance is becoming dangerously unstable and unpredictable. But folks, Mitch McConnell has repeatedly said that use of default this way is a good thing. McConnell said this:

“I think some of our members may have thought the default issue was a hostage you might take a chance at shooting. Most of us didn’t think that. What we did learn is this -- it’s a hostage that’s worth ransoming. And it focuses the Congress on something that must be done.”

McConnell also said this is something that should happen again in the future:

“What we have done, Larry, also is set a new template. In the future, any president, this one or another one, when they request us to raise the debt ceiling it will not be clean anymore. This is just the first step. This, we anticipate, will take us into 2013. Whoever the new president is, is probably going to be asking us to raise the debt ceiling again. Then we will go through the process again and see what we can continue to achieve in connection with these debt ceiling requests of presidents to get our financial house in order.”

So, McConnell. Now that we took the hit; you still think this is a brilliant idea?

Oh so it's still all the Republican's fault? Even though you guys just a Super Majority and still control the Senate & White House? Yea only the most lost & loyal Hopey Changey followers are buying that. See ya in 2012 i guess.

Democrats don't understand how our legislature works...

Only reason I place blame on Obama is because he sat there for 2 years telling his progressive Congress what to do and they obliged.

If they wanted the debt ceiling raised then why didn't they do that when they had their supermajority?

I'll tell you why - its because they know raising the debt ceiling is wrong, democrats want to spend and they know when their shit goes wrong they can just blame republicans for it and the progressive moonbats will without question listen to the dishonest libfucks at the realm and blame republicans like the puppets they are.

Democrats know their ideas don't work yet they don't care because their only focus is keeping their power base because the majority of them are elitist authoritarian assclowns.

Why could they care less about the economy? well its because they're socialist authoritarians and its their goal to destroy the capitalist model - so it really doesn't matter to them what the market does because the collapse of the capitalist model is their end goal, but like the "progressives" they are they are doing it progressively....

It's basic socialist philosophy... You destroy then blame the opposition.

It's almost like the child fart joke: "who knew it blew it."

You see, Pelosi, Obama, Reid and Frank all believe they're better than us, they believe for that reason they have the authority to rule us like we're their pets in authoritarian fashion like Stalin because they believe they're gods gift to mankind....

All have severe personality complexes and none of them understand "individualism."

Freedom to those clowns is "anarchy."

Those are all acceptable to BD type folks.

Obama has

1. signed a trillion dollars in tax cuts.

2. escalated the Afghanistan war/increased defense spending

3. ballooned the deficit.

Yes, that is Republican policy to a 'T'.

And until January it was all done with a democratic controlled house and senate. Don't try to blame the Republicans for the democrats stupid moves. If the congress had agreed to the TEA PARTY's plan for the debt deal we would still have a AAA credit rating. I guess it's just too difficult for most dems to understand. Dems, accept the blame, YOUR PRESIDENT is the only president in American history to have the credit downgraded.

The cuts & tax raise did not go nearly far enough to prevent a credit downgrade. We needed a larger budget deal. More cuts in return for more revenues. All that happened was token future cuts & no revenue increase.

So yes, this economy was absolutely manufactured.

You are entitled to your opinion, as absurd as it is.

You claim you know socialism then you point to the UK as an example of socialism?

NO, thats pseudo capitalism..

"European socialism" is a farce and it wont last long. Redistribution of wealth doesn't work. Thats why the entitlement dependent clowns in Europe are running around lighting shit on fire - the rich can no longer support their asses because the wealth is gone.

The wealthy are about to go bankrupt and the majority of their government dependent citizens are setting fire to their own nation because they don't care - they value nothing because they never earned anything of value - it was handed to them as a "civil right."

At this point European pseudo capitalism has two choices - a) revert back to the capitalist model or b) go TRUE Marx socialism...

At any rate the only possible way for socialism to work in the United States is through authoritarian government, and authoritarian ideas violate the premise this nation was founded - as a matter of fact this nation was created by classical liberals who were tired of being pushed around by their government, or the church and given the notion we are a nation of 300 million people - that's 300 million different ideas and socialism requires obedience and conformity to be successful - thats why the goddamn progressives have a problem with the Tea Party - because the party is NOT obedient and are unwilling to conform to the the "master" aka our progressive government.

Government jobs don't count. EVERY government job is paid for by non-government jobs. The ONLY WAY for the government to create non-government jobs is to cut taxes and reduce regulations on business, and that's not in obamas nature. The president that appointed a "Regulatory Czar" (Cass Sunstine sp?) is more likely to add more regulation on business and increase taxes on business. Remember according to obama ALL wealthy businessmen are evil and make too much money and instead of making more money, and in doing so create more jobs, they need to make less. That will help the situation. Fools have taken over the government. It's funny, everything RON PAUL has been warning us about, and trying to change for the last 10yrs, is coming to pass. Too bad so many can't see his wisdom and brilliance.

The democratic party as a party is fueled on hatred of the capitalist model.

Progressives are obsessed with those who have more than they do..... Of course there is always a democrat politician waiting in the wings to take advantage of that hate for the rich to get elected.
