This is something really peculiar going on within the Democrat Party. For starters, it speaks volumes that Obama refuses to come out and support Hillary. The reality is, much like everyone in the party, he absolutely can't stand her. Their battles are legendary and well documented. But beyond that - what are these items about?

  • Prominent fault lines have emerged in recent days in the Democratic race that threaten to permanently damage the party.
  • He also stands to be accused of acting in the interests of the establishment so deeply resented by large swaths of the electorate this campaign cycle.
  • Last week in Chicago, Obama expressed his confidence that Democrats would avoid the kind of scrapping that has defined the Republican Party recently, but also offered a gentle warning about the impulse to “cannibalize our own” for the sake of ideological purity.

So what "fault lines" have emerged in recent days that "threaten to permanently damage the party"?!? And since when do Democrats "resent the establishment"?!? Democrats are ALL about big government and the establishment. And why is Obama warning the party about "ideological purity"? He's the worst ideologue there has ever been - completely unwilling to compromise on anything. But most of all - how is it that an entire national party could only find three people to run for president?!?

I want to be very clear here - I am not making any predictions. But from the outside looking in, it sure appears that the party is completely and totally dead. They have no leaders, they can't find anyone worthy of running for president, and they operate with an "ends justifies the means" mentality which has completely torn them apart. Heck, they had to turn to a completely unknown, unqualified Senator 8 years ago just because he was black to win what should have been the easiest election ever (coming off 8 years of GWB and facing the worst GOP candidate in history in John McCain).

Obama likely to sit out Democratic primary altogether, White House aides say

The truth is simple. That dumb ass Obama NEEDS a "get out of jail FREE" card. And the NEXT president has it. If Trump wins expect Obama to take public ass kissing to new levels.

It's funny - I actually had a similar thought after posting that. He doesn't want to come out in favor of Bernie in case Hillary wins. He knows she will yield enormous power over him. But he doesn't want to come out in her favor because he can't stand her. This is what happens when you shake hands with the devil for the "ends justify the means" mentality.

Poodle, are you stupid?

The incumbent president USUALLY sits out the primary.

Reagan didn't take a side in 1988, Dubya Bush didn't take a side in 2008.

The exception was Clinton did rally around Gore in 2000, and that was probably a mistake, because Gore was a weak candidate.
