Obama: Largest Monthly Deficit EVER- Larger Than ENTIRE 2007 Yearly Deficit

Barack Obama told Americans Saturday in his Weekly Address,

“We need a government that lives within its means.”

But, that was Saturday.

Today we found out that Obama’s February deficit topped Bush’s Deficit for all of 2007.

In February the Obama Administration posted the largest monthly deficit in US history.
The Washington Times reported.

The federal government posted its largest monthly deficit in history in February at $223 billion, according to preliminary numbers the Congressional Budget Office released Monday morning.

That figure tops last February’s record of $220.9 billion, and marks the 29th straight month the government has run in the red — a modern record.
Barack Obama tripled the national deficit in his first year in office. In his second year the deficit was again a record $1.29 Trillion. This year the deficit will be even higher.
Only a CON$ervative would be stupid enough to believe that crap!!!

Bush's 2007 spending deficit was over half a TRILLION dollars. Over 400 billion of it was OFF BUDGET!!!!!!! Only a CON$ervative is STUPID enough to believe OFF BUDGET deficit spending is not deficit spending! :cuckoo:

Obama's first budget was LESS than Bush's last RECORD budget deficit of $1.41 TRILLION. As you unknowingly point out Obama's FIRST budget, which ended in his second year, was 1.29 trillion.

The Off Budget amount was 145 Billion. Between 2 Wars. Where are you coming up with 400 Billion?

I Assume you are including Tarp in the figure for your "bushes largest deficit" To bad trap was not an annual expense and is in fact being paid back. Kinda takes the Thunder out of your Line of BS.

Facts are Facts. Bush added almost 5 Trillion in new Debt in 8 years. Obama and the Congressional Dems just passed 3 Trillion in only 2 Years. Do the math brainiac.

not to mention the Year you are counting as bushes Biggest Deficit was when the Dems Controlled Congress, and they actually added over 220 Billion in new spending to the Last budget Bush submitted. Before they passed it.

You have not even a shred of intellectual honesty in you do ya.

Riddle me this, Liberal Mouth Piece, Take the 3 Trillion(almost 4 actually) in new Debt already added by Obama, add to it the half a trillion in new spending the Dems in Congress added to Bushes last 2 Budgets, then take Obama's next 6 years of Projected Deficits (all which will actually be higher than projected if history is any guide) and what do you get? 10 to 11 Trillion dollars in new debt added by Obama (If he has 2 Terms) and the Dems in Congress.

How can you defend them and keep a straight face?

I guess it's safe to say this administration is on a spending spree and doesn't know how to stop. It's up to Congress to take away their credit card, that's why we elected them in 2110 and they better not forget it.

2110? They'll all be dead, if we're lucky, hell, we'll all be dead...............

February? When was the Republican House sworn in?

You know, the house that controls the purse strings??

Are you for Real? We operating on Democrat approved Budgets. Good Try but that line of BS is not going to fly.
How dare those Libs use the exact same "logic" and timetable as the CON$ervative Brotherhood!!

Shame on the Left for using Right-Wing BS. :lmao:

Final Tab for Pelosi

When Pelosi was sworn in on Jan. 4, 2007, the national debt stood at $8,670,596,242,973.04. At the close of business on Jan. 4, 2011, her last full day in the speakership, it stood at 14,014,049,043,294.41--an increase of $5,343,452,800,321.37.

Do the math.

Government - Historical Debt Outstanding - Annual 2000 - 2010

09/30/2007 9,007,653,372,262.48
09/30/2006 8,506,973,899,215.23= over half a trillion in deficit spending for fiscal year 2007

Somebody can't do simple math.

03/04/2011 $14,182,627,184,881.03 The current debt.
09/30/2009 $11,909,829,003,511.75 Bush's debt at end of his last budget.
Difference = $2.27 trillion which to the CON$ervative Brotherhood is "3 Trillion(almost 4 actually)." :dig:

Like I said in the OP My first post in the merged thread :people can find different numbers for 2007 but thats not the point is it?

Is that why they voted to cut $100 billion for the remainder of this year alone?

Is that why they floated a bill to return the unspent stimulus money?

They did it knowing it wouldn't pass.
Remember Boehner and Cantor fighting their asses off trying to keep an unnecessary defense spending project going, because it affected their back home special interests?

that's the real, same old business as usual GOP hiding underneath all this big talk.

Oh brother......

It's true. You can't deny they knew these wouldn't pass, can you?

...and when have they been able to pass any spending cuts?

The Dems are threatening to shut down the govmint if they do.

They had 6 years to cut spending and the Democrats couldn't have done a thing about it. All the GOP did in those 6 years was cut taxes, to make the fiscal mess worse, start an unnecessary war, to make the fiscal mess worse, cut taxes again, to make the fiscal mess worse, and pass a massive unfunded Medicare prescription drug program, to make the fiscal mess worse.

And now the abuser is apologizing profusely and begging the battered spouse to take him back because he swears he's changed.

Right.

PS...that's a metaphor, in case you missed that year in school.

Just curious was there more that was kept off the books that was spent on the wars as well?

Note: I'm tired and don't want to go look that up at the moment, but that was the first thought that crossed my mind when I saw this part of the discussion.

The short answer is YES.
Not only were spending numbers cooked, so were revenue numbers.
Revenue losses from the yearly adjustment made to the AMT for the cost of living were also kept off budget.

Try again, they were only there for one month. Liberals blamed Bush for two years of a dimwit controlled house and senate and now you try to blame the republicans for one month. IDIOT!!!
