And from the Times:
"Despite months of negative advertising from Mr. Obama and his Democratic allies seeking to further define Mr. Romney as out of touch with the middle class and representative of wealthy interests, the poll shows little evidence of any substantial nationwide shift in attitudes about Mr. Romney."

And this is exactly why Mitt won't release them. If he did release them and people saw what he paid in taxes while running Bain a firestorm will result. People will question why he paid 15% on the majority of his income while the rest of us are paying 30% plus.
Without the actual numbers the press, can't use Mitt's tax returns as exhibit A of one of the most egregious portions of our tax code: the carried interest treatment for hedge fund managers. So they will continue to stonewall as long as the public doesn't care and is too stupid to ask.
Of course he keeps on about Romneys tax returns and Bain. What the hell else has he got?? Nada.
Does anyone think Barry wants to talk about the economy? Jobs? Or his failed policies?? Nah. He figures the american voter want to hear all about Romneys tax returns and Bain. the Dog on the roof and any other peice of deflection he can throw out there.
Deflections abound and will continue to abound through this whole campaign.
