President Barack Obama reminds former House Speaker Newt Gingrich exactly of the NFL’s replacement officials who have drawn the ire of seemingly the whole nation for their slew of incorrect calls.

Obama is a “part-time president,” Gingrich told Greta Van Susteren on Fox News. “He really is like the substitute referees in the sense that he’s not a real president. He doesn’t do anything that presidents do. He doesn’t worry about any of the things the presidents do.”

One example Gingrich was referring to was Obama’s decision to refrain from meeting world leaders at the United Nations confab in New York City this week, opting for campaign work instead.

Unfortunately, Obama can get away with it, the former GOP presidential candidate said. “He has the White House. He has enormous power. He’ll go down in history as the president, and I suspect that he’s pretty contemptuous of the rest of us.”

Obama is the “perfect president” for an era dominated by “of false celebrity-hood,” Gingrich said. He contrasted Obama’s focus on politics to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton focus on policy.

“Hillary Clinton is a serious person. Barack Obama is an ambitious person,” Gingrich said. “They’re very different personalities. Hillary Clinton gets up every day thinking about public policy. Barack Obama gets up every day thinking about Barack Obama. They’re very different approaches to life.”

Gingrich: Obama Just Like NFL?s Replacement Refs

It's funny that some still take Gingrich seriously after all these years.

Its funnier that the right wing who--for what 5 months--said shit like "stick to the issues" now brings up the most petty bullshit ever. It's really quite humourous. The other day one of the neanderthals said that Obama didn't work because his desk was clear. You can't make this shit up.
