"It's open season on President Barack Obama.

Posters of the commander-in-chief, made to look like Heath Ledger's version of the Joker in "The Dark Knight," have started spreading throughout Los Angeles.

Under the portrait of the president is the word 'socialism.' "

There's apparently a segment of the population in the L.A. California area that regards Obama as a "Joker".

"The posters, which have been plastered on Los Angeles freeway on-ramps, come on the heels of news that middle-class taxes might have to go up to reduce budget deficits or to pay for the proposed overhaul of the nation's health care system.....

During his presidential campaign, Obama repeatedly pledged "you will not see any of your taxes increase one single dime." But the simple reality remains that his ambitious overhaul of how Americans receive health care -- promised without increasing the federal deficit -- must be paid for."

This kind of "poster art" from one of the major sources of cinematic art and culture of the country suggests there may be a disalusionment with the president beginning there.

"In addition, Obama's approval rating has taken a hit in recent months. A NBC/Wall Street Journal poll released at the end of July said that the president's overall job approval rating is at 53 percent, down from a high of 61 percent in April. Approval of his performance on the economy has slipped from a high of 56 percent to 49 percent. On health care, 41 percent approve and 46 percent disapprove of the president's work.

Meanwhile, a Pew Research Center poll says there were "major declines" in Obama's job approval rating. Overall, his rating fell from 61 percent in June to 54 percent. On the economy, Obama lost 22 points, from 60 percent in April to 38 percent.

On health care, 42 percent approve of his work, down from 51 percent. But perhaps more telling, disapproval of his performance has risen 17 points, to 43 percent."

Have you seen this poster?

The unsaid sub-heading or the subtitle seems be "The Jokes on You America". The image is powerful indeed, far more effective than a chimpanzee cartoon for the former president Bush could ever have been, because in effect, those poked fun at all the common people who, like him, may not have been supremely eloquent with the Endlish language.

Just when you think the idiots on the Left Coast are all a bunch of unknowing liberals, somebody does something to make you take a second thought... Looks to me like at least somebody in California has a clue as to what Obama's all about.

Obama's supporters are quickly realizing that they were tricked and there is no HOPE AND CHANGE and that they were tricked and elected this joker!!!!

Yet another example of the growing undercurrent of dissatisfaction against Obama.

He is quickly becoming the cartoonish caricature being represented in those posters...

I've been doing my serendipitous calculations, figuring that President Obama won by 7%, and if a mere 4% change their minds, he loses the next election.

But I've always thought that the 4% would come for the 'moderates.'

If there is trouble on the left coast, he may be in worse condition than I thought.

What happened to the great conservative ideal of personal responsibility? Why aren't the posters claiming it?

They're cowards, that's why. Only political forum posters surpass them for sheer cowardice.

Just a rumor and you know how those things get around but I heard they saw Nancy Pelosi putting up some of the posters...

"Only political forum posters surpass them for sheer cowardice.", he post in the political forum.

It's probably the work of the Illegal Foreign invaders from Mexico. They probably figure that if they get on his case it will speed up their inevitable amnesty. Then, The madman Obama and his minions can figure out a way to blow all that extra Tax money, on god know's what now, from the milllions and millions of illegal foreign invaders. The kicker to the story is, Americans can pay even more for the so called cheap labor once they form Unions. LOL!!!! Jokes on the sheople. ~BH

That was a (half-)joke, of course. Still I'm surprised you got it. :clap2:

My only objection is the mis-use of one of the most awesome movie villains to make a political point in a seeming non-sequitur.

What does the absolute nihilistic and anarchist Joker as played by Ledger have to do with Obama's policies?

And why the 666?

Surely someone could have come up with something better.

Other than that, rock on free speech and feel free to ridicule those in positions of power.

"Movie villian"? Wow ... even I know he's a much older character than that.
