Are you SERIOUS? The "proof" is history, and there are many, many documents regarding it. The only reason that Reagan got off the hook is that he feigned mental incompetency. I believe that the federal government was also reluctant to put the nation through another Watergate. It was gently swept under the rug over the next decade.

Also, don't forget that Reagan's VP was George H.W. Bush--former CIA director, and essentially acting President during Reagan's second term.

Ah, yes...fun with statistics!

Look, Chris...all of that sounds good until you really look at it. The fact of the matter is that we're in the midst of the worst economic recovery since the Great Depression. For every job that this President has created, four people have gone on food stamps. The deficit is over 16 trillion dollars, with trillions more on the way as we suffer the first credit downgrade in our nation's history. Gasoline is more than double what it was the day Obama took office. The costs of ObamaCare keep getting revised higher and higher as our health insurance premiums increase right along with them. We're still billions of dollars in the hole on the GM bailout and will most likely never recoup that money. Our foreign policy has mobs killing our ambassadors and burning our flag in the street while Iran slowly but surely turns themselves into a nuclear power.

At this time in Ronald Reagan's first term we'd turned the corner and the economy was about to explode into the longest period of sustained growth in our nation's history.

Obama is Reagan? That's laughable. If Obama "does" get reelected he will end up being viewed as one of the least effective leaders this country has ever had with the years between 2008 and 2016 becoming a lost "decade". You can only blame Bush for so long before it becomes painfully obvious that Obama is in way over his head with the job he currently holds.

President Obama has stretched his lead over Mitt Romney to 6 percentage points nationally, according to the Gallup daily tracking poll released Wednesday.

Obama is the democrats JIMMY CARTER. The national polls are over sampling democrats to republicans and and completely leaving out independents--which Romney leads by 15 points.

Here is what CNN recently did.

CNN is grabbing political headlines tonight with the release of its latest poll. It shows Obama surging to a 6-point lead over Romney, 52-46, among likely. Before the start of the Democrat convention, the candidates had been tied in the poll. Since it purportedly confirms a narrative the media is trying to build, i.e. that Obama is starting to pull away with the race, it is getting wide coverage. However, there are a couple of strange things within the poll that cast doubt on its veracity. And, at least one concern warrants a response from CNN.

First, this being a media poll, it has an obvious skew towards Democrats. The partisan breakdown is (D/R/I) 50/45/5. It perhaps isn’t surprising that Obama is leading a D+5 poll by 6 points. Throughout the campaign season, Obama’s margin usually is very close to the partisan skew in the sample. It is surprising, though, that Independents make up only 5% of the sample. Tellingly, Romney leads this group by 14 points.

The state polls in Ohio--Florida and one other state yesterday were also manipulated.

Jammie Wearing catches the NY Times/Quinnipiac poll dramatically skewing the methodology of the poll to strongly over-sample Democrats:

So Obama is up 9 in Florida with a D+9 sample, up 10 in Ohio with a D+9 sample and up 12 in Pennsylvania with a D+11 sample. I notice in all the orgasmic news reports this morning none of them mention the ridiculous skew to the polls. But all you will hear all day is how big a lead Obama has. And only 1% of independents were sampled.

Anyone can conduct a poll and manipulate the sampling methodology in order to manufacture a perception that does not line up with real public opinion, and by asking for more Democrats their opinion than there are Democratic voters in these states, NY Times/Quinnipiac is lying with statistics.

They do so in hopes of buoying their failed candidate, who faces a real world electoral and popular vote route as Americans divorce themselves from an utterly failed Presidency.
