That business???? PAID property taxes! Paid sales taxes! Paid income taxes!

Just a small point, the government is not a business. There are some pretty big differences. We are not electing a person head of the company so we can see cash returns. if we were then your argument would have a point, but since we are electing a president and not a person whop is going to eat up companies for proit I would have to say Miott has shown nothing that says he has any better idea.

10,000 cars weigh average 4,000 lbs or 2 tons or 20,000 tons
Average truck weighs:The legal weight for an eighteen wheeler is 80,000 lbs. [40 tons]

So according to you one truck weighing 40 tons does MORE damage
then 10,000 cars weighing 20,000 tons?

One truck carrying 40 tons of say gas or 81,250 gallons.
Each truck will deliver $14,950 in federal taxes when the gas is sold.
Each truck carries at average 31.1 cents state/local taxes: $25,268.
So just in gasoline taxes that will be collected almost $40,000 per truck.
Will those 10,000 cars PAY $40,000 in sales tax alone?
Then assume the 81,250 gallons sell for $3.00 and retailer earns 10% then after expenses pays 30% of sales after expenses in taxes? Another $3,000 in federal/state/local taxes.
Altogether that ONE truckload of gas generates almost $45,000 in TAX revenue alone!
