he isn't there to further American interests; he didn't do that while President, so we know he isn't doing that now. He must be planning to stay 'overseas' until after the AG is done investigating his criminal acts while in office, so he can get 'asylum' somewhere and avoid arrest and trial.

Those Presidents that did a lot of favors for foreign governments at American expense do go abroad; they do crappy little 15 minute 'speeches' for lots of bucks, that's how the kickbacks and bribes work, they have to wait for the payoffs. H.W. didn't go because he didn't need to, he already had an international laundry service in place, and most of his foreign favors went to the ME and they already invest heavily in the U.S. Reagan got millions from Japan alone. He let them dump massive amounts of goods on the U.S. markets.

Europe is also the world's money laundering center, so the Obamas don't have to go to Red China or Tehran to check their accounts and make sure those countries coughed up. they can just send a flunky around to London or Belgium or Switzerland or the Isle of Man or Lichtenstein, wherever.
