Obama Ignores Fox at News Conferences 'Because He Doesn't Want to be Embarrassed'

Who was the old lady in the press room that Bush always liked to ignore becuase she asked tough questions?
I forget her name.

Helen Thomas -
Thomas retired in June 2010, following negative reaction to comments she had made about Israel, Jews, and Palestine during a brief videotaped interview with Rabbi David Nesenoff of RabbiLive.com.[1][43][44][45][46][47] Nesenoff was on the White House grounds with his son and a teenage friend[48] for a May 27, 2010 American Jewish Heritage Celebration Day,[49] and he questioned Thomas as she was leaving the White House via the North Lawn driveway.[46][50][51][52]

When asked for comments on Israel, she replied: "Tell them to get the hell out of Palestine." and "Remember, these people are occupied and it's their land. It's not German, it's not Poland..." When asked where Israeli Jews should go, she replied they could "go home" to Poland or Germany or "America and everywhere else. Why push people out of there who have lived there for centuries?" She also mentioned she was of "Arab background."
2010 speech on Arab AmericansOn December 2, 2010, shortly before a speech for the eighth annual "Images and Perceptions of Arab Americans" conference at the Byblos Banquet Center on Chase, Thomas told reporters that she still stood by the comments she had made to Nesenoff. Referring to her resignation, she said "I paid a price, but it's worth it to speak the truth."[78][79][80] During the speech, Thomas said: "Congress, the White House and Hollywood, Wall Street are owned by Zionists. No question, in my opinion."[78] Thomas defended her comments on December 7, telling Scott Spears of Marion, Ohio AM radio station WMRN, "I just think that people should be enlightened as to who is in charge of the opinion in this country."[81]

You're not supposed to ask obamination:

About the masscre in Algeria, Syria and Libya.
About "his surge" in Afghanistan failing.
About Egypt's Arab Spring backed by him giving the world a terrorist leader of Egypt.
About his removal of Qaddafi creating a terrorist haven into Africa, see Mali/Algeria.
About the number of workers that have quit looking for a job.
About obamacare ruining our healthcare system.
About him being an idiot and lying sack of shit that says "uh" every other word because his brain is misfiring.

Faux News is embarrassing.

What with not only the whole country but the whole world watching as well, I wouldn't want to draw any attention to that joke of a "news" station either.

I forget her name.

Her name was Helen Thomas and it was impossible for Bush to ignore her because White House press briefings traditionally started with a question from her because she was the UPI correspondent. Nice try though...

They are no longer a credible news organization.

......

And they never have been. Roger Ailes said as much on ABC. He blatantly stated that his goal was to create a profit via ratings. That's not the mission of a news bureau. Even a 5th grader knows that.

And she was also the senior WH correspondent, literally had been there longer than anyone else. So she always got a front row seat.

Always got a front row seat and always got the first question. Yet someone just tried to say that Bush ignored her? Hard to do when you have to start with her...just saying...

And with all due respect, NoTea? I think the goal of every commercial network is to make a profit.

What could FoxNews ask or Barack Obama answer that would change anything? I don't know about you but my opinions of the President are determined by what he does as President, NOT what he says or doesn't say at some staged press conference.

When you consider the interviews of Oblamer by other TV/Cable stations like MSNBC, CNN compared to Fox News of course Oblamer would prefer the soft ball questions like, Do you like your dog "Bo"? Rather than asking Oblamer pointed questions on the Afghanstan situation, or Unemployment, or the Deficit. Seems the JournOlists prefer to debase and lie about those that are truthful even when it comes from fellow Democrats.

Who gives a shit? Faux News is the propaganda arm of the GOP. They're lucky the WH even lets them in the room.

That pesky 1st amendment!

the white house has discretion over who gets let in.

fakenews has had plenty of access to the president...

more fauxrage...

Fox has been left out of MANY briefings at the White House! There was a briefing on Benghazi last year and they were not invited.

And there's also this..............

But left out is Fox News, an organization that despite having by far the highest-rated cable news channel and more than 200 affiliates on the broadcast end, ranked ninth among news organization called upon at Obama press conferences. Fox was not only behind the aforementioned ABC, CBS, AP and NBC, but also Bloomberg, Reuters, CNN and The New York Times as well.

Fox represents ain increasingly mindless and child-like viewership. They should be ignored except when you want a good chuckle.

They let "Fox News" in at presidential news conferences? WTF?? Do they let the National Enquirer in there, too?

Holy crap, that's crazy. Might as well let World Net Daily in.
