Obama: "I reversed the recession until bad luck hit"

Last edited:
Seriously people, this is what he said today on his lil' bus stop.

Once again, he abjectly refuses to acknowledge his failings as a leader on the issue of our economic problems......Refuses to acknowledge that he's failed the american people.....Refuses to acknowledge that he is the President, and in the end, it falls on his shoulders.

It's all about "bad luck" according to him......This man obviously thinks the american people are friggin' stupid....Actually thinks that the american people can't figure out what is really going on.......Actually thinks that the american people don't pay attention to events that are radically hurting this country.

Yeah, his hardcore supporters are going to buy into his con job........They are going to buy into whatever he says, as if it's the gods honest truth.......But does he really think that the core of american citizens are going to say, "yeah, it's just bad luck?"......Does he think they are not going to analyze very seriously his leadership on the most pressing issue we face as a whole, before casting their ballots?........Are the independents, who he absolutely needs, and are dropping their support of him in droves, actually going to all of a sudden agree and say, "yeah, it's just bad luck"?

Well he's right about one thing--His Presidency has turned out to be the WORST luck--this county has ever witnessed. Our 1st continual whiner President--the President that leads from the rear.

Didnt see it till after work. I believe my decimation of his hackery is complete here.

You couldn't "decimate" yourself out of a wet paper bag.

Riiiight. So you've disproven those links that pwn your ass? Whining "no it isn't", doesn't cut it for debunking.

It's all he's got.
Swallow used to be a somewhat serious poster. Now he's just descended into the outright stupid.

Said it in another thread. I think he is sick with a virus of some sort. He usually is a much more competent (not correct per say) poster.

I think it's a virus or something he's getting over. This kind of HACKing cough has been going on for a few weeks.

I agree Sallow is a blind partisan hack, but you aren't denying you are one as well are you?

I agree he's a partisan hack for democrats, you're a partisan hack for republicans, so you're both hacks.

Small problem with that. I'm not a republican. Never have been and at this rate, never will be. They're too liberal for me.

And no I have never gone to a Tea Party either.

Trying to cleanse republicans of all blame for the housing crisis and place all blame on democrats sure sounds like hackery to me.

Here's an update; it was both parties fault.

If evidence backed up that statement, then you'd be right, I would be a hack. But it doesn't so I'm just a pissed off Libertarian Conservative with no party to call home.

Okay, it's only 80% the dems fault. The GOP is responsible for not pushing hard enough to end this problem back in the 1990's before the graft and corruption reached industrial scale. Sorry but the majority of the blame is on the liberals like Chris Dodd (who possibly ILLEGALLY profited from protecting it) and many others who treated it like a sacred cow and implement to install socialism in this nation by buying up all the mortgages that were doomed to default thanks to ARMs and Sub Prime lending with balloon payments.

The rest of the blame lay on capitalistic greed of both parties in exploiting an obvious problem with the system for their own personal gain. This is why you do not tempt the moral hazard like this. It WILL burn your ass in the end.

And they were where when Bush was running up this debt? Eh?

Where were they?

I didn't see one of them. None. Exactly zero. Unless you want to count Ron Paul..and the very same people were calling him (not incorrectly I might add) a loon.

And how is addressing debt during a recovery good for the recovery? Explain it.

In detail.
Oh, I don't know.......Avoing the only downgrade in US history, even after being warned months ago that unless the issue was aggressively dealt with, the downgrade was going to happen?

They caused the downgrade.

The S&P could care less about the debt.

They want to know that the government will pay it.

That's why it was downgraded..the Tea Party blocked the method of paying down debt.

By the way..partisan hack that I am..I don't agree with the S&P. It was an atrocious decision.

The S&P should be apolitical.

So you're accusing Standard & Poors of taking a political stance when they downgraded us?

I hate to break this to you but I think the real question should be why the other two rating agencies didn't follow suit. If you sit down with a calculator and punch up the numbers our fiscal situation is a train wreck in progress. We're looking at unfunded entitlements that will total 300% of our GDP within the next 20 years if we don't fix Medicare, Obamacare, and Social Security...and Democrats declared entitlements "off the table" in the debt ceiling debate. Pardon me but how can entitlements be off the freaking table when they are the MAJOR driver of the debt? The lunacy of that stance is mind boggling. And you wonder why S&P downgraded us? You can fault them for not downgrading Enron or derivatives but it's pretty hard to fault them for downgrading us with what we've been doing over the past four years.

Ummmmmm.....if you want to pay down debt, the trick is to, first, stop going deeper into debt.

I've been alive 26 years, every one of those years spending has increased and debt has increased.

Hasn't gone down since the '40's during WW2, yet we still keep electing people from the same 2 groups of idiots.
