If you had any idea what you are talking about, you would know that McConnell is NOT in competition with the President. The only Republican in direct conversation/competition with him is John Boehner, the Speaker of the House.

McConnell knows fully well that he failed at the task of making Obama a one term president. But you can't blame him for trying to minimalize the potential damage Obama is liable to inflict on the country.

Based on the money the Chinese lent to America, the children and grand children should start learning Mandarin yesterday.

Obama has had since August of 2011 to work out the details and avoid the fiscal cliff. Why has he only just begun to work on it when the deadline is days away?
