Because the people answering those polls aren't educated enough to know the difference between circumventing and reading into the Constitution what really isn't there - for his own benefit. Obama is a dictatorial/ lordly/ imperious President who wants everything his way and the people around him accomodate him by agreeing with him. Most simply do not understand how the Government is supposed to work (including some in Congress), they do not understand the differencees between a socialist - big government idea and a representative government.

The fact that Obama didn't completely abandon American families to the tender mercies that the GOPers wanted for them, probably has something to do with it.

Had the GOP had its way, the banksters would still get their trillions but the American people would have been left in the cold to starve.

Some American voters get that, despite all its problems, the Dems still TRY to help Americans who, though no fault of their own, are in financial difficulty.

From my political POV, I'd give him about a C+ for what he's done thus far.

I wonder how it ever managed to get above 10% then??? Now it's 8.5%. That is good, i hope it remains this or goes lower. But i have this funny feeling it was all about the Holiday's. People got hired for part time jobs, and they usually last through January (because of all the sales). I'll celebrate when i see it's still down there or lower by March. It also doesn't take into account all the people that have just dropped off and get no benefits any longer, who have quit trying to find jobs. So i won't hold my breath...........

The 8.5 unemployment figure was achieved by fiddling the numbers. It's actually 11.4. The media hides it just like they hid the mega expensive Halloween party.

Obama's poll numbers don't reflect what people really think. It means that people are reluctant to say how they really feel because obama is black. It takes a degree of bravery to come out and say he is loathsome with destructive policies when expressing that opinion will only be racism.
