Barack Obama has won the argument on Iraq. The latest NBC/WSJ Poll, released tonight, shows that 60% of the voters think a timetable is a good idea, and 30% think it's a bad idea.

The prime minster of Iraq says he would like our troops out by 2010, which is as close as he can come to implicitly endorsing Obama's withdrawl plan without being perceived as meddling in U.S. elections.

In other news, the latest NBC/WSJ poll has Obama leading McCain 47% to 41% in a head to head matchup.

But, even more astonishing is when Nader and Barr are added to the poll. In that case, Obama's lead jumps to 13 points, 48% to 35%.

Not so astonishing to me, but them I am one of those who will not vote for Either of the Chumps and will "throw away" my vote on a 3rd party.

I guess it all depends on how the questions are asked, huh?

Well yeah. Why is this suddenly Obama's idea? Let's keep it in context. Al-Maliki called for a withdrawal by 2010 FIRST. I don't recall McCain ever saying we needed to be in Iraq any longer than necessary. Only AS LONG AS necessary.

Suddenly it's Obama's plan?

Does the media give head? if it does, Obama must be smiling ear to ear 24/7.

Actually it is Obama's plan. Bush spokeschic Dana Perino could not even bring herself to use the word "timetable." She said "time horizon."

Goals aren't rigid withdrawal dates....

Who cares whose plan it is? Just bring the troops home, and keep our noses out of every other country's business ..... in the future.

 It's simple. So what's the problem

We should bring the troops home, when the Iraqi government is stable. Leaving prematurely would waste all of the sacrifices made by US troops and the drastic changes made since the surge.

Drastic Changes? You really belive that Iraq is ever going to be "stable"? We have made enough "sacrifices" already, we need to make no more. Enough is Enough!

Obama says the surge has brought about drastic changes, and undeniable gains in security and Political progress.

I thought you guys all thought Obamas word was gold, don't believe him on this one?

:eusa_shifty: Sorry to burst your bubble. I did not say that I supported Obama or McCain. What I did say is "Enough is Enough", and my statement stands. I do not believe .....a "surge has brought about drastic changes" ... I really do not care who said it.

However, what I will say is that in THIS election I am having doubts about either of the two leading canditates. I have been a Republican my entire voting life. But, as an American I have voted - in each and every election - for "the man" and not the party. I just do not want to see another four years of what we have had the last eight years.

*For the record I did not vote for Hillary in the primary. I would have no problem voting for a "woman" .... she simply is NOT that woman!

Are you going to vote for Benjamin Netanyahu?

Thanks! :D I am new here. Your question (above) answers a lot for me. Now I don't have to read any of the "trolls" posts to understand his/her stupidity.

BTW ... apology is not needed. :eusa_angel:

You are free to read them and apply your own understanding to the facts. When I have done this application, in my own experience, he has displayed trollistic attributes. It's just personal observations.....

A troll on this board, so I have been told, Is someone who constantly posts stuff that has nothing to do with the thread he/she is posting on. IMO Kirk often fits that bill, Especially when he posts stupid questions in response to something someone said, which have Nothing to do with what they said.

Example, I say I am not voting for either major candidate, and his retarded response is
Are you going to vote for Benjamin Netanyahu?
I can only assume he asked that because I am a dual citizen of the US and Israel, But of course I was not talking about Israel now was I.

Yep he is a troll.
