This is a situation where the contrast between the two is pretty glaring.

Netenyahu has had very intense real life experiences. Oblah blah is nothing but a pretty speech machine with no substance.

Netenyahu faces real life and death decisions every day.

Oblah blah decides whether to play golf or shoot hoops...and if he should/shouldn't bring along his posse of PR people and cameras for a photo op.

Of course Obama looks very small in comparison...he is.

actually, i live in the real world. you live in a fantasy world where hamas is not a terrorist organization. reality: israel offered arafat 98% of what he asked for. he turned it down because he knew he'd be assassinated if he made a peace deal.

Hamas are implacable enemies of Israel, that's true.
Have a closer look at what Israel offered though.
There were no favours offered, and certainly not '98%' of what they asked for.

Just a thought , and I know I don't live there, but England have basically neutralised the IRA by dealing with the majority of moderates.
They realised that conflict would never sort the problem out.
The extremists were essentially sidelined by the very people they claimed to be fighting for.

the IRA did not have as its goal the destruction of England. They just wanted not to be under British rule. There are no moderates in Hamas, even if there are among the pals themselves.

Israel would, as they did with Jordan and Egypt, make a deal and keep to it. There isn't anything to do with these people. Look at the charter of Hamas. It says it's goal is to destroy israel.

You can't make a deal with that. And to try to is perceived by them as weakness. Your intentions are good, but you need to stop thinking that palestinians think like you.
