Obama doesn't care about these workers

Why does the right suddenly pretend to care about workers and jobs? They care about "corporate welfare" and bible-ism. When they are not hating the gays, Muslims, blacks, Hispanics and trying to slash women's rights, that is.

:eusa_whistle: Dah...Brilliant just above moron status... What a friken clone you are genius

I would be happy if it weren't true. Really I would.

As if this isn't enough, the Big O still has over $40 billion in taxes in store for the petroleum industry.

It is amazing that you would bitch about a minimum wage worker not paying any income taxes, but you support the idea of a company that makes tens of billions in profit every year not paying any income taxes. :cuckoo:

Brainwashing is an understatement. It's the same thing with taxing the wealthy. Because they have a higher tax rate, you tell us how unfair it is, yet the wealthy end up actually paying a smaller percentage than the struggling middle class family. It is insanely laughable that you have been duped to such an extent.

I'd appreciate it if you could quote my bitching on the subject of minimum wages.

Regarding my statement above, Obama's proposed taxes on the petroleum industry run counter to his goals of creating jobs and spurring economic activity.

Brainwashed? Not me. I've seen the shit firsthand after 34 years as an independent business owner.

Anybody remember these people? they are now on wlefare thanks to the libs

Energy Secretary Chu Wants Higher Energy Prices

Energy Secretary Steven Chu appeared on Fox News Sunday with host Chris Wallace last weekend. Wallace asked him about his desire in 2008 for Americans to punitively pay more at the pump in order to wean them off of gasoline. Shockingly, Chu did not walk back his comments as he has attempted to do in the past. In fact, he embraced the strategy noting that his focus is to ease the pain felt by his energy policies by forcing automakers to make more fuel-efficient automobiles:

WALLACE: In that regard, in 2008 you supported ramping up gas prices to coax Americans into more green energy cars and other uses, being more fuel efficient. You said this — and let’s put it on the screen — “Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.” Where it is now more than $10 a gallon. In that sense, is the gas spike an opportunity for more green energy?

CHU: Well, what I said — what I’m doing since I became secretary of Energy has been quite clear. What I have been doing is developing methods to take the pain out of high gas prices.

We have been very focused in the Department of Energy on that. And, in fact, the entire administration has been very focused on that.

So, the increasing of the mileage standards is one way of doing this. A very concerted effort in electric vehicles, where we think within reach, within maybe four or five years, we could be testing batteries that can allow us to go 200, 300 miles on a single charge in a mass-marketed car.

WALLACE: I understand all that, and that is certainly part of your effort. But is the spike in gas prices — does that also help in making us more energy-efficient?

CHU: Well, the recent spike in gasoline prices following that huge spike in 2007, 2008 is a reminder to Americans that the price of gasoline over the long haul should be expected to go up just because of supply and demand issues. And so we see this in the buying habits of Americans as they make choices for the next car they buy.

SPEAKNOWAMERICA.ORG: Energy Secretary Chu Wants Higher Energy Prices

This is infuriating....The problem here is while Detroit, or what's left of it, can pump little crumpler econom boxes that can get 40 mpg but that says "screw you" to all the people that need large vehicles for work, for family, for pleasure( such as towing an RV) etc...
By dramatically increasing the price of gas the Obama admin is essentially going to kill the travel and tourism industry because people will opt out of taking drivable vacations. This is the Obama admin's way of limiting our freedom as in our freedom of movement. Businesses where large vehicles are used to bring work to the customer will have to add fuel surcharges to their prices thus adding a double whammy to the consumer. Not only that, lower income people will spend a much greater proportion of their income on fuel just to get to work. For example...A person who lives and works in a rural area for say $10 per hour....That person drives a 40 mile round trip each day. Their vehicle which they also need to transport their three children when needed gets 25 miles per gallon. This person cannot afford to simply do as Obama suggested and "go out an buy a smaller car"...The worker uses roughly 2.5 gallons just to get to and from work. At $4 per gallon, that is one hour's pay.....So her actual work day is cut to 7 hours.
Now not only does she go to and from work, she has to go to the day care and school to pick up her kids. That burns another gallon or two of gas. Now she's up to 2 HOURS labor in fuel....so now she has a 6 hour work day....See where we are going here?....
Obama is deliberately scuttling the US Economy with his insane obsession with this green energy nonsense. In the mean time all his bullshit about caring about working people and the middle class is just more political coffee klatch nonsense. And anyone that buys his tripe is an idiot.
I just went to a friend's home some 270 miles away for a three day weekend. My vehicle an F-150 which I need for work, gets about 23-25 miles per gallon highway. I spent about $150 on gas. Now I had a half tank left when I got home as I benefitted from light traffic and did the 270 miles on about 13 gallons of gas ( thanks to using cruise control) which is mighty good for a full size pick up truck.....
I am just incensed over the obvious aloofness of our President. He is an egotistical son of a bitch. All he cares about is his legacy.
This guy is perhaps the second worst president in the last 100 years. Second only to Carter.

Yeah... they're worthy of the "working people's" trust. They'd lay off 10,000 workers and walk over their mothers to save a buck.
You are obviously an Obamaton and you've drank the kool-aid....
You have no right to an opinion because you choose to keep yourself tied to the altar of the mainstream media...
I suppose I could tell you to stay on point and discuss the issue at hand ,but I'd be wasting my time.
Every issue where Obama is proven dead wrong, you Obamafreaks just come up with some vapid nonsense in a attempt to deflect the discussion away from the issue.
Well guess what you under worked and over funded sausage slapper, it isn't going to work.
Stay on point or shut your pie hole. This room is for adults.

:clap2:This idiot totally ignored these workers and went off on some lunatic tantrum :cuckoo:

Lunatic Tantrum... I guess speaking the truth makes you uncomfortable. The point of the whole thread was to play "gotcha" with Progressives. So I played "gotcha" right back.

hey... If the auto Industry goes to electric vehicles, oil jobs will suffer. If Corporations keep importing jobs for $1/hr... all jobs suffer. Which is worse?
What truth? Why don't you provide us with some examples of what you are posting about?
Goes to electric vehicles? WHAT?!! The ones no one wants to buy because you can't go drive 100 miles without having to plug them in for 8 hours? The ones that NO ONE wants?
The electric vehicles that only the upper income levels can afford( $40k and up for one of these battery powered boxes on wheels)..
And tell us oh wise one. when those cells will no longer take a charge, where do we put them? Recycle? Oh sure. hey stupid fuck, they have LEAD in them.....
Oh and can you explain where those $1 per hour jobs are in the US...I want to go and see for myself.....Ya know there sammy, the reason why labor rates are declining in certain industries is because the fucking DEMOCRATS want ILLEGALS here. Those people are potential democrat voters.
Ya know what, you really ate the stupid cake. How you could come on here and expose yourself as 100% intellectually vacant on the issues is a friggin mystery.

No need to pretend anything. We've been wanting people to be able to work for a long time. Why do you think we oppose Obama's policies that are crushing businesses? So people can work and the economy can grow. Why do think we are in favor of cheap oil, so people can have energy to produce. Why do you think we want lower taxes for everyone, so they have money to invest into the economy.

Seriously, do you ever bother thinking about the viewpoints of others, or do you just presume that because you've thought something up it's suddenly truth?

Ya know what deano, bashing the conservative side will not get you any points in the next election either. As a matter of fact, it cost your side a whole bunch of democrat held seats( over 600 in all) in the 2010 mid terms because you people had no message and no policies.
You people arrogantly thought you were comfortable You stupidly latched on to the liberal polls that told you your side would remain in power. Well you got you r ass kicked.
So what's your side doing now? Same shit. Just send out personal attacks and empty rhetoric. Guess what deanosaur, your side will get it's collective derriere knocked into the dirt again....Here's your Handi-Wipe and some ice for the bruises on your ass.
Ok...time for you to respond with something real clever.

Prove it!...Find the data and post right here on this thread.
Oh and GE doesn't count. Obama is busy kissing GE's pinky ring because the Obama admin gave GE a Zero tax obligation so they could build his precious wind mills which I might add are absolutely useless without the rights of way to string transmission lines to substations.. Those rights of way are so difficult to get that T. Boone Pickens who was one a champions of wind energy has gotten out completely.
BTW the oil industry pays billions in corporate income taxes, more billions in royalties to the federal government. I'll bet you didn't know that each off shore oil rig pay over $500k per day in fees to the US Federal government.....
Umm lesson here. Before typing, it is good to have at least a scintilla of knowledge for the subject on which you are about to type.
ANd now I suppose you're going to give me some bullshit about Big Oil profits.....Yeah sure....The average post tax profit for the industry is about 9%. Oh and the more oil costs on the commodities markets, the more it costs oil companies to get it out of the ground and get it to market....
If all of you people who claim oil co's are making huge profits, answer this, why is it that oil company stock prices have not reached stratospheric levels?....I'm waiting for your answer....What's the matter....You got nothing?
Ok, time for you to reply with some non-sequitur...

Chu is an idiot. He forgets that 70% of the pump price in Europe is due to taxes.
Gas costs are higher in Europe because European countries, save the UK don't produce it. taxation.
In order for Chu's dream to come true, the US government would have to slap confiscatory taxes on gasoline.
The highly intelligent Mr Chu has his nose so far Obama's ass his brain is lacking the oxygen that allows him to realize that to dramatically raise taxes on motor fuel is politically impossible.
These Obamatons who bitch and moan about the rich, cheer for higher taxes on everything. They pray for the day when "Big Oil" will be taken down. They desire expensive fuel. What they don't want to admit that if we did have $10 gas, only their mortal enemy, the rich, would be able to afford to drive. Leaving the rest of us unable to afford to get to work.
I cannot believe how much of an intellectual vacuum these Obama people exist in.

Is there anyone on this planet stupid enough to believe this swill? If so, that's really sad and downright scary. We can give all the credit to our excellent government run schools.

Who's a communist? Fascist, racist pig. Hey, how does it feel to be stereotyped with ignorance and hatred?

Most conservatives are middle class.... For now. In one way, I hope you get your way in these things and you will see how much those beloved businessmen of yours love you back.
