Obama Didn't create 5 trillion in new debt....

That's right. The debt is now nearly $5.6 trillion higher than the day he took office.

And how much of that is the two unpaid for wars that was left out of the budget?

How much includes the revenue lost from tax cuts that were never subtracted under Bush.

How much of that is the drugs for votes bill?

How much is because of the tens of thousands of Americans maimed in the Iraqi war of "choice"?

Don't stop there. Keep going. Factories closed. Millions of jobs lost from 2001 to 2008. Jobs moved to China. Billions in subsidies for oil companies.

It adds up. But of course, it's all Obama's fault.

Presidential budgets are completely separate than appropriations, which are how the money is actually spent. Costs of tax cuts in static economic analyses, off-budget defense spending and anything else are all realized and apparent in a year-by-year look at the federal debt.

Obama has added $5.3 Trillion to the federal debt. Obama signed his first appropriation bill in March 2009:

"President Bush did sign some appropriations bills and a continuing resolution to keep the government running into President Obama’s first term, yet a Democrat controlled Congress purposely held off on the big spending portions of the appropriations bills until Obama took office. They did so for the purposes of jacking up spending. President Obama signed the final FY2009 spending bills on March 11, 2009. ...

PolitiFact | Lots of heat (and some light) on Obama's spending

Obama didn't inherit a deficit, he continued and increased spending over and above Bush's overspending.

How much of what Obama has spent has been on budget?

Yes, yes it is.

It's funny how Obama approved another year of the Bush Tax Cuts, if his policies were that bad, and the big bad debt was all his fault.

Obama wanted tax cuts for the middle class, who really need them. He also wanted to extend unemployment benefits. The Congressional obstructionists refused to approve those cuts unless the poor, fearful 1% got tax cuts too.

But you already knew that.

In other words,

The Bush tax cuts applied to the poor and middle class, but only when Obama wanted to extend them, prior to that they were only tax cuts for the rich.

Bush's tax cuts for the middle class were in the form of two checks sent to households, as opposed to ten years' worth of massive breaks for the wealthy. Obama wanted a better form of tax relief fo the middle class, that really needed it, without decreasing revenue. He also wanted to extend unemployment benefits, something that Congress routinely approved for other Presidents in times of high unemployment.

Tax rates are tax rates. whether issued by Bush or Obama.
Mr Obama kept the income tax rate cuts for the poor and middle class signed into law by Mr Bush.

:eusa_hand:Wrong.....those checks were a stupid stimulus from Bush totally separate from the Tax cuts everyone who paid taxes got a cut from the Bush tax cuts ..Get it straight

The Bush tax cuts for the middle class amounted to almost $2,000,0000,0000,000.00 over the ten years they were in force before Obama claimed they only helped the rich.

Do you actually believe that? The only middle class tax cuts under Bush were the two checks?

No wonder you are an Obama supporter.

The overall deficit has gone up, but not the yearly. Can't you read?

It's getting smaller. But Bush and the Republicans didn't grow it overnight. It took 8 years.

I try not to read liberal blogs.

Like Businessweek, Forbes, Fortune Magazine, The Economist, American Scientist, Discover, Geotimes, Natural History, New Scientist

Yea, stick with Fox.

:lol::lol:

Can you guess why I'm laughing at you, dweebie?

We were dropping bombs and making war, now we are not and the deficit keeps going up. must be all those freebie obama programs.

define what you call rich & middle class...this ought to be good....

It's a very complicated math formula.

Start with today's debt, subtract the debt when Barry took office, and the result is the amount of increase.

They used to teach that formula in elementary schools, but I guess they don't any more.
