Now that Democrats are frolicking in their Majority and with Obama as the Big Kahuna, Head Honcho, Czar of czars, Blessed Messiah rolleyes you have to wonder if they can take responsibility for this Poll....(I think not)...

PRINCETON, NJ -- Americans are markedly cynical about the amount of waste in federal spending, more so than at several other times in recent history. On average, Americans believe 50 cents of every tax dollar that goes to the government in Washington, D.C., today are wasted. That's an increase from 46 cents per dollar in 2001.

In 2007: 30% of the American people still believed Saddam Hussein had WMDs in Iraq. Despite GWB saying otherwise.

21% of Americans in a poll said they believe the Sun revolves around the Earth.

Only 76% of Americans could name the country we gained our independence from.

Just because the American people say it or believe it, doesn't make them always right.

Looking at the link, it's obvious that it's been steadily climbing since 1986. So the OP's comments about "Obamacare" and such are misleading. If this had been a huge spike from say 2003, I would say oh wow but this is no surprise. More and more people losing faith in their Government is not a shocking thing by any means.

The Demobombacare implied that, with government giving themselves the opportunity to waste even more of the peoples money. It could only add to the dollar to dollar ratio of waste.
On the "and such" part the trajectory of the arrow hasn't changed with Obama and I suspect it wont, also it's a record.
I see no misleading here, other than yours. Now, off with cape...

You mean Socialism/Communism has led to more Government waste? No way? Can't be? What did people think that Socialism was going to lead to? Socialism/Communism never work in the end. Socialists like to push that whole "Sharing the Wealth" scam but in the end Socialism/Communism only lead to sharing the poverty. The Socialists have moved us rapidly closer to becoming a Third World Banana Republic. Pretty sad stuff.
